Great news that Universal is following in paramounts footsteps :-)

Now its FOX,DISNEY, LIONSGATE and NEW LINE CINEMA. That needs to see the light and follow

I'm getting the impression that the studios are pulling region codes off the jackets to keep importers guessing to cut down on the volume. They seem to be happening across the board

On Ebay in Australia, on of the sellers has The Mummy for sale (pre-order) and is advertising it as region free. Known to be a reliable seller can't remember his login, sorry dude.hope this helps Iam in same boat.

Not necessarily.. look at National Treasure 2 and a few other Disney new releases that have been region coding free.

It's locked to region A.. just found the back cover packaging on DVD Empire.

i would of thought they would be region free considering the hd-dvds where, but i guess its better to wait and see, but as said before there is no indication on the packages what it is

Default The Mummy / Mummy Returns Multi regioned

Hi,
I have checked on DVDWorldUSA.com and they have now updated their site to say that The Mummy, The Mummy Returns and the Scorpion King are all Multi regional ( yesterday these were marked as Region A on their site).

Looks like Universal might keep to having no regional coding after all.
