You can not know the region code until the disc is released but my guess would be that it is region coded because it is a day and date release in USA by Sony. They have all releases region free except day and dates in USA.

iv'e got death sentence on blu ray but i have a region b player , its a enjoyable flick the making of feature is very dull though it does'nt go for very long and only looks at 2 scenes.

I have some interesting information regarding the region coding on New Lines titles Shoot 'Em Up, Hairspray, Mr. Woodcock and Rush Hour 3. They are all semi-region free just like The Omen from Fox in Europe. If you have a PS3 you can bypass the region checking by pressing the triangle and bring up the top menu. I have tested Shoot 'Em Up myself with success.

No, sorry. Man on Fire is region Locked. It is a Fox release from USA and they have not released any region free titles in USA yet (only in Europe). Take a look at the link in my signature if you want to look up this or other titles.

just wondering why are you interested in the 1st transporter from there? i know the second transporter is released there is uncut and region free.

I saw a review sometime back that stated the MPEG4 encode was better than the US version.

if you don't mind me asking what country are you from? not trying to be rude just seeing because if it is region coded to A and i can point you in the direction of the region B release dates.

The issue is that many movies are regionfree - all regions - and thus play on both American and European players and PS3s.

Please note that these dates might still change slightly. Furthermore,
Concorde only has the licence to distribute those titles on the German
speaking market.
