I want to order the UK release of "P2", but I'm not sure if it's region free (I'm in A region). Does anyone know if it will be? It looks like the distributor is Palisades if that helps. Thanks

There is a B sign on the backcover so i would say it locked but you never know there has been some releases with that and they were still Region Free

The region code site lists all 3 as being region-free. It's reliable and even looking at the back cover isn't. I have some imports that say region B on the back but it works fine in my region A (US player). Of course, the extras rarely work though.

I'm looking to jump on the Amazon UK deal as well, I have MandyLand and Shrooms already in my cart and would ove to add, Diary of the Dead or Welcome to the Jungle(Horror film, not rundown)

I know those 2 titles are Optimum released and there suppose to be region locked but Mandy is too and it isn't so just hoping someone has tried either Diary of the dead or Welcome to the Jungle.

Ps I know Diary comes out next month in u.s.

You can ignore the "PAL" designation for BDs on the UK Amazon site. PAL is a standard definition format, so doesn't apply to movies on BDs. It's happened simply because Amazon UK use the same web page layout for both BDs and DVDs, and they don't have a clue about the technical aspects of these formats. I've previously e-mailed them to point out how misleading their BD descriptions are, but of course they've done nothing about it - they obviously prefer to lose sales when potential North American purchasers are put off by seeing the PAL description.

Of course, many BDs do have extras in standard definition, so people with US BD players do need to consider the PAL/NTSC issue as far as the SD extras are concerned, since most US players can't play PAL material. But for movies from the major Hollywood studios, the SD extras are likely to be in NTSC even on BDs released in Europe. All European BD players and TVs support NTSC as well as PAL, so there would be no reason for the studios to pay for NTSC-PAL conversions on existing NTSC material.

Will the UK Version of the matrix region b play in my PS3 or BDP-S350 I purchased both in the US, and I assume they are region A players.

Edit- HOFD French Version is not locked: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...7&postcount=21
Specs if anyone is interested is English/French DTS-HDMA, Mandarin DTS-HD HR with French and English Subs. Extras are in 480i/p (info taken from back).
The Movie Is Uncut. PQ is a bit better than the US release (although I noticed macroblocking in a few scenes, particularly outdoor scenes). I'd give it a 4/5. SQ is excellent. The Mandarin DTSHD-HR is very well done, and on par with the French MA. The US MA track is more muted compared to the other 2. I'd give the SQ 4.25/5.
This is definitely the version to get.

Are the horse scenes uncut too? I think there were some cuts made because of animal cruelty in the UK (DVD) version from Pathe.

Default Black Hawk Down is it really region free?

On the back of Black Hawk Down it says region A, but I heard it was region free. I have a region B blu-ray player. Don't want to unwrap it unless I know it's region free. Help me out.

Thank You
