Well Amazon shipped my copy of Extras: The Special. I'm hoping to receive it this week and I'll post here with the results for anyone thats interested.

Now Movietyme has changed the Baraka Blogpost to read that it is region locked. http://movietyme.blogspot.com/2008/1...gion-free.html. The url still though remains as what it was before.

I've also received a report confirming that Baraka would indeed be region locked.

Arf, it's weird, some sites put region free and then locked, and some other sites, the opposite ... :s

Might it be possible that the first batch of Baraka was region free and the others weren't? or something similar as I've heard very convincing reports from both sides, including the fact that movietyme first reported it region free and later region locked.

i seriously don t think so almost impossible, but possible consequently, anyways for me it s region free

Well I got the Extras: special on blu ray today....tried it on my bdp-s350 and everything seemed to be going fine...Universal logo came up, then blu ray logo, and once it got to the copyright statement it just froze. The timer has _ _:_ _ on the display.

Does this mean its region locked?

MR 73 (france, Gaumont edition) is region free. ABC logo on the back and it plays on my region A unit.

i don't believe so , if there was a region lock issue a screen comes up displaying a region miss match statement , i think there might be a problem with the disc sorry

Please make it zone free

this movie was not even released on DVD in Z2 Fr
so little hope to see it in blu-ray here.
