Can someone tell me if :

- Hostage (Canadian blu-ray)
- The Constant Gardener (Canadian blu-ray)
- Freddy VS Jason (Canadian blu-ray)
- Bangkok Dangerous (US blu-ray)

are region free please ?

I just know that Freedom and Gunbuster edited by Honneamise and Bandai are region free

Thanks! My player is region A but I can get some Bandai Visual disc cheaper from region B stores, so I was wondering about that. I guess all Bandai Visuals will be region free ...

Is there a chance that firmware upgrades can lock those movies that are region free now? For example if a movie is stated to be region A, but can be played in a PS3 B, and later on, an upgrade locks it?

From what I understand all of the Bandai titles at this point are the exact same disc in all the regions they are sold in...at least the Honne titles, anyway.

It's confusing with the Region coding on blu-ray. I have two players...a Panasonic DMP-BD30 for region "A" and a Panasonic DMP-BD55 for region "A"

Yes. The U.S and Japan/Hong Kong are region A.

I only question you because I have had people in the past say that a certain fox title was region free when it was not or say was region A only when it was region AB or region free.

With Fox titles I would like to be 100% sure since not everyone in the past has given the right information and no proof to say otherwise.

Any "certain title" may be Region A in the US and Region ABC in Europe. You have to be specific when asking, e.g. "is the US release of Stargate: The Ark of Truth region free?"

I ordered it from play and they shipped it early.

I was hoping to find out the code before play shipped it but I recived it today and since there was no confirmation I tried it and it is REGION A only.

I got two blu-ray players on my PC. One for region A and one for Region B so for now I will keep it but when it comes out in the UK I will just sell the US copy and get the UK version to allow me to play it on my PS3.
