I'm wondering if the new BD of "Brideshead Revisited" (with Emma Thompson) is region-free... it's on Amazon UK and the studio is 2 Entertain (BBC)... anyone confirmed it region-free yet?

Hello,

Does someboy knows about the region for Seven Pounds please ? (since Sony didn't put the symbol A or ABC to indicate locked or region free ...)

We will have a review for the UK release shortly. As far as the French disc is concerned, the info I posted remains unchanged.

I am unsure what type of an answer you are looking for but:

1. No, A B and C are the only commercial regions that will be in existence.
2. There are plenty of Region-C produced titles already (mostly Russian), and, by default, they happen to be Region-Free.
3. Region-C residents will have to do what every other Region resident does.

Question

The page of the UK-release of the "T2 Skynet Edition" says Region A.
Is this incorrect (hopefully) or is it true?

Well yeah... that's the whole point, both the US- and UK-page show it as 'Region A'.
That might be due to the release not being out yet, but it's like that on most releases.
I think it's great they have like all this information here, but they should do it right.

I posted a similar thing about this '300'-release too... :\

Hello,

It was a system error. It should indicate Region-B now.

Ah, it does say B now.

Did you also see this one: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=4339
It was released for Japan, but it says Region A instead of C, I guess it should be.
Is that a similar problem or is that one actually correct for some reason?

I would also really like to know if there would be a 'Region B'-version coming.
But there is no page for a 3rd one, so I guess not, unless it has yet to be announced.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I saw your previous post. This being said, the listing is correct - Japan shares the same region as the US. With other words, all Japanese titles will play in your US Region-A player:

OOH! I totally forgot about the bit's of Region A between C and Australia.
Sorry about that.

Meh... we want B! We want B! 300B

Any idea if it that Special Edition will come here too though?
I'd really prefer that over the plain box...

No worries

Unfortunately, I am not aware of an upcoming B-coded release at the moment.
