No riddle. It’s just that Deci monitors so many things on this site that he doesn’t have time to fully explain his posts.
Human beings’ eyes are relatively poor in identifying detail in the color blue so it appears as a uniform wash. On the other hand, people are excellent at visualizing detail in magenta and green. As an aside, this neuro-ophthalmologic human characteristic is a well known fact which astutue digital colorists leverage when they color select degrain/regrain parameters rather than dnr-ing the entire image, if and when, they decide to do any grain management at all. |
