I have yet to regret buying a Blu-ray. Sure I've been discourage by the state of the case and returned it, but that's a bit different. I don't usually buy movies that I don't like and regardless of if it has bad PQ/AQ...I still like having it as part of my collection.

Blade Runner is good for the older crowd. If you are young, which I suspect you are, I can see why you didn't like Blade Runner.

I got the movie for about $13 or so dollars so I wasn't too unhappy with my purchase. If I paid more, I would have been really unhappy. In retrospect, I wish I waited till this movie was in the $10 and under bargain bin at Wal-Mart. The fate of all ten year old blu-ray movies I suspect.

Mortuary. Tobe Hooper, my how you've fallen. The movie was horrible. Same with Salvage. I know, I know, I shouldn't expect much for 8$ bluray titles.

Terminator 1 and 2, both didn't receive the film restoration they deserved. They were some of the first few Blu-ray discs I bought after buying PS3 a couple years ago.

I'll have to say FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer. I 'm a sucker for comic book movies, but man this sucked.

Personally, I have two I didn't like and wish I never bought.

Jesse James movie with Brad Pitt & Crank. I'll never watch them again. Watching them one time was hard enough. Sometimes I wonder why some movies get green lighted. I hate to admit it but sometimes the trailors and/or the covers of some movies are better than the actual movie. Sometimes I fall for them.
First Sunday for me I only got it for 14.99 anyway.

The Fifth Element. I bought this movie, I think as my second or third purchase, didn't look at the spec's just knew I really liked the movie. Come to find out I got the crappy version then later they released the remastered version. Now I look at all spec's/reviews before I buy to make sure I'm getting good PQ.

I thought Rise of the Silver Surfer was better than the first Fantastic Four movie... Better but not by much.
If I regret any BD I bought it would be Fantastic Four. Yes I'm a sucker for comic book movies too.

Oh and Supernova... Tried to watch it one night but just couldn't get into it, turned it off after like 20 minutes. Maybe I will try again one day, just to see Lance Henriksen

I'd be furious getting the bad version. Luckily I got the remastered version on sale at Tower.com. I was blown away how well the picture and sound were. Good purchase if you get the remastered version.

I enjoyed this movie too. Ironic. Everyone has their favorite ice cream flavor.

I wouldn't have even spent a dollar at redbox to watch this movie. I'm glad you confirmed what I suspected.

It would have been The Mist. I'm glad I rented this one first. I'm also glad that I heard about the ending before I bought. Now, I won't have to sit through something like that.

99% of blind buys. I think cars is the only movie I do like that I blind bought.

Oh scratch that, Sleeping Beauty was blind as well.

Default HD Window: Hawaii

HD Window: Hawaii

The run time is quoted as 51 minutes and that is correct. However it displays a series of still images at an agonizing slow rate of something like 1 per minute. If you pick the "trailer", it basically shows the same images at a rate of one every 10 seconds or so. The trailer is watchable but not the full length presentation. Also I was expecting the scenery to be breathtaking. Some of the scenes are very nice but others seem ordinary to me. I'm not talking about Blu-ray image quality, but rather the visual content.

About the only thing I watch from this disk is a trailer for another HD disk that includes the Grand Canyon.

I paid about 12 or 13 bucks on a BOGO sale. The value of the disk is about 2 to 3 bucks.

One episode of Planet Earth is about 5 times better than this disk.

Rant over.

Default See it twice, then sell it

Back for one more post.

I can remember two cases in which my opinion of a movie changed from "hate it, it's garbage" to "love it, its original and cool" upon seeing it a second time.

1) The Matrix
2) Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman

Not sure if it will work for you but those that "hated" some movies might wish to watch them again before unloading them.

I saw some Bladerunner and 2001 haters in the crowd. Try watching again with a "lover" of those movies to at least see why they think they are great.

What region is your Moulin Rouge BD? I'll buy it off of you if its Region Free or Region 1.
