currently, all the 20 titles I own. I'm worried that the format isn't going to be around much longer, and that I've made a poor investment. Right now I can only watch BD on my laptop, but I was hoping to eventually upgrade to a big set. I think I will hold off on buying BDs for awhile until the future is more secure.

Read it... Don't think BD will die as long as there is no alternative format! People talking about downloads.. How many families own the equipment for that... Besides, BD isnt supposed to kill DVD's.. Its just a nice upgrade

I Am Legend. The High Definition transfer is pretty but doesn't create a sense of awe.

OMG! Me too, I bought The Signal because it was super cheap, but man that movie sucked ass!

Going against what I read in reviews from people on this sight, I bought the Happening. Wow, what a movie! It was such a horrible movie that I couldnt stop watching it lol. Although, I do have to say that watching that guy fly through the windshield of his Jeep was pretty bad @ss!

Pixar Shorts. This could have been a bonus disc with Wall-E but paying full price for it turned it to a letdown.

Okay, I'll bite. Vantage Point. About a twenty minute film stretched out to, what was it, about 90 minutes. Just a gimmick, not really all that interesting.

Edit: Plus I'll add Stargate. Recall enjoying it when first came out, but in the intervening years the wife has gotten addicted to the variations of it (TV series, etc); Stargate stuff drives me bonkers any more. But thought maybe the original film might be okay to see again. Found it almost as boring as the TV show... was difficult to make it all the way through (but I did).

My worst and most regretable rental, didn't buy it TG, was Sweeney Todd. I booted that sucker less than half way through the film. I like Johnny Depp and Helena's singing but the film was disgusting and too awful to watch. Killing his victims wasn't enough though. His partner (played by Helena) ground up the remains, baked them, and invited the villagers to feast on them. I couldn't watch it after that. I don't know how people can watch it let alone stomach it (no pun intended). Another movie, forget the name, involved a plane crash on a glacier in a remote wilderness. The survivors ate the flesh of those who died in the crash. That's survival and ethical under those circumstances. Sweeney Todd is perverted, diabolical revenge. Yuck.

Gee, I was wondering what that movie was all about. Now I don't ever have to watch it. Is it really necessary to spoil a movie for everyone, even those (few) of us who might actually have liked to see it somewhere along the line without knowing much about what it is all about beforehand?

It's based on a violent story. The violence doesn't seem excessive to me...

Even though I just got this thanks to amz sale, I have to agree with you, though not quite so extremely. The ending was disappointing.

Any Blu that has only Dolby Digital 5.1. If that is all it has, I get it in DVD to save $$$ for the Blus that have stepped up with good audio.
