I Robot - excellent PQ
Speed Racer - excellent PQ
Cars - excellent PQ
300 - poor PQ

YMMV.
Now, if you cannot accept my or anyone else's assessment of the PQ, sorry!
Apparently we differ on opinion as to what PQ is.

Have a great evening!
GRAIN! not PQ. 300 looks great that is how it is suppose to look, the movie on the other hand is gladiator meets Sin City motion effects.

No need or want for a HDTV.
*IF* I really want to view something on a large screen, I can always go three houses down to Steve's house.
When I watch BDs on his HDTV they look remarkable the same as they do here on these laptops - just that I am accress the room from the display. DUH!

Please stop PMing me with your childish comments, thanks!
BD's on a laptop only. Waste your money however you like...

Yes, as I stated, but some seem to only read what they want to read, 300 may very well be accurate to the cinematic playbeck that was seen in the theater. Good! Great! Killer!

Judging PQ against other reference Blu-ray titles, 300 is not exactly reference material. Period.
Between the poor PQ and the fact that *I* didn't like the story, I gave it away.

Is that ok with you people? It's not like it cost you anything for me to do so, right? Drop it already!
Wow...you really have no clue...

YES! Agreed!
But judging the PQ as opposed to true reference discs, 300 would be a bad choice to showoff your HDTV and Blu-ray.

You're opposed to grain and you judge PQ based on a 17" screen. We get it.

Probably Predator cause the pq is trash, would also say First Blood and Rocky, but at least those imo are classics especially Rocky and i can justify
possibly double dipping in the future...

The only blu ray I have regretted buying is Corpse Bride. I bought it blindly because the PQ and AQ were getting rave reviews! However it was a dreadfully boring movie. Didn't enjoy it at all and thought Nightmare Before Christmas was way better.

shoot em up -- 7.1 audio played as 5.1 on my ps3 and, although funny at times, the movie itself wasn't great. total letdown...

Well, I usually try to avoid buying movies I dislike. Although there are some blus I despised for the PQ, like most of the Dragonball Z movies, I'm still satisfied because I never owned the DVD versions. Of course, this all comes from the person who accidently bought xXx because I thought the corner of the box looked like MI:2.

Not to get too involved with the 300 dispute, I'd just like to say that I originally saw 300 on a 55" Sony SXRD and the PQ looked pretty great. However, when I popped blu into my 32", both me and my little brother's first reactions were, 'This looks like shit!' Either way, the result was pretty annoying.

Most people here seem to judge the PQ as rather good, so I'm going to trust the blu ray fanatics (who've all paid money to upgrade just for that extra quality). I just think 300 could've done better with the encoding so it looks right in all TVs, like the Disney Pixar movies.

Steve asked me if it was a f***ed up disc or a DVD. LOL!
I showed him the BD case and the disc itself. He was not impressed.

So, your comments about my laptop are a joke.
Yeah, even when played on my laptop - 300 looked like crap!

Whatever pal, you can go back to your happy place now!

I somewhat wish I didn't get I Am Legend because I only like the first half. But I got kinda swept up in it when it came out, and it looks nice.

The FALL...saw the trailer with my girl and she thought it would be cool...WRONG! BORING! Good BD quality however; the film's pacing and story is so ridiculously off that it's nothing but crap decorated with pretty scenery and images. Good to look at but bad to own. Definitely should've rented this one first. Anyone want it?

I Am Legend is a definite regret for me. I blind bought it because a friend said it was a good movie. Unless you like seeing a lot of really bad cgi then its not even worth $5 (in my opinion). The Last Man On Earth is far more worthy of my money. Now if they would only release that on Blu.
