Before watching this I knew this was targeted for the younglings and I was not disappointed. Lower your expectations and you might like it for what it is.

I prefer to “flat” animation to the CGI of Rebels and Clone Wars, which makes everyone look like muppets, but this was pretty awful otherwise.

I've watched the first three episodes and I think it's great. I see lots of story potential with this setting. I am sure the next few episodes will be more set-up before they can get to telling deeper stories. I'm sure it will be just like Clone Wars and Rebels in that it will get more serious in tone over time.

It isn't my favorite style of animation, but I think it's superior to the look of Clone Wars and Rebels.

I have to correct myself. It seems the Disney HD broadcast was 5.1 despite the Verizon channel guide claiming it was 2.0.

The app is 2.0. I was going to record the broadcast but noticed the Verizon channel guide said stereo, so I reported it here. I recorded the broadcast anyway and saw that it was 5.1, so the Verizon channel guide got it wrong.

So, 5.1 for the broadcast; 2.0 for streaming, but there you can get the episodes early....

Yeah. That's what i figured it was going to be. But you never said it was 2.0 here for the broadcast.

These apps really need to catch up. NO reason for 2.0

Apart from Fode making a few vocals-only appearances in these episodes, a Neimoidian figures prominently in the second episode, along with his Neimoidian shuttle. It's nice to see callbacks to the PT.

I also like the overall look of the show. The use of soft, diffused lighting throughout gives off a kind of glow that reminds me at times of the cinematography in Superman: The Movie.
