I really don't like the animation style. Too childish for me. I'll pass. Clone Wars ans Rebels were good, but I had enough or too much of Star Wars. One live action movie every year will probably be enough!

Weird scheduling for Resistance. BBC America is airing the new Doctor Who all day long, with another repeat next weekend. Disney is showing Resistance once tonight, and once tomorrow on DXD. Maybe they're trying to drive viewers to the app, just seems odd to spend all that effort for one airing, especially slotted against Sunday Night Football.

First three episodes are streaming now on the Disney Now app. I just saw the pilot episode with my daughter, and we both enjoyed it. A little slow going in spots, a kind of low-key start to what looks like a promising series. We'll watch episodes two and three later today.

A nice cameo of sorts: The voice of Fode, the two-headed podrace announcer from The Phantom Menace, can be heard over loudspeakers during the racing-related scenes. Odd that we don't hear Beed since they're a two-headed creature. Raises some questions...

I just watched the Pilot and I didn't like it at all. The Animationstyle, well okay it needs time to get used to it, probably a lot of time.
The Main Charakter Kazuda sucks, within the first 10 Minutes I already hated him more than Ezra, okay at least not as much as Jar Jar.
The Dialogues are very childish, even more Childish than Rebels. Probably only 3-4 year old kids thinks it funny. Well I didn't. The Action was okay but nothing special. I am a huge Star Wars Fan but thats definitily too much for me. I am out.

^ I'm willing to give it some time to develop. As far as pilot episodes go, I think it lands somewhere between Rebels, which was pretty good, and Clone Wars, which I wasn't that impressed with. Both of those series took a while before they got really interesting, so I'll give Resistance the benefit of the doubt.

My Girlfriend and I decided to let Disney made the decission for us, since we are big Star Wars fans. If there is a Blu Ray Release we will watch it on Blu Ray. If there will be no release then, well then we are out now, we won't watch it on TV.

EDIT: I was going to set my DVR to record the broadcast tonight, but the channel guide indicates the show will be in stereo, so there's no point. Maybe they're saving the 5.1 mix for the BD.

The characters have a white line that borders their entire body. It is hard to explain but if you see the show you will know what I mean. It makes it look like the characters are on a a bad blue screen set, which is hysterically bad considering this is animation. The characters in general look horrible with this animation style.

The ships and locations look very good with this animation style.

This certainly feels a step down from The Clone Wars and Rebels. I'm not that impressed. The sound effects are easily the best part. The music, animation style, and voice acting is all lacking.

I never thought I would see an animation style that made me think DC Animation was super high quality.

the animation is very soft and dull looking especially for the characters. The ships and all the other hardware looks much better. I wish the colors were brighter. It was definitely made more for kids than adults

It's too dull for kids. There isn't great action or fun going on.

OK so it's only the first episode, but by Jove it was boring.

The visuals are sorta OK. Kinda looks unfinished at times, a bit plain, muted colours.

Characters are as you would expect. The usual stoic guy, comedic relief alien, silly droids, strong female characters (because heaven forbid they aren't strong!), and so far its all completely 2018 politically correct (so far no white male characters except for one in the background).

Curiously the ships look better than the characters. TIE pilot attire looks good.

But this is all gonna be based around the new trilogy so I dunno if I'm gonna like it because I dislike the new trilogy so...
