EDIT: I was going to set my DVR to record the broadcast tonight, but the channel guide indicates the show will be in stereo, so there's no point. Maybe they're saving the 5.1 mix for the BD.

Glad that's cleared up! Phew!

As I stated earlier, turns out the Verizon channel guide was mistaken; the broadcast was in 5.1.

iTunes now has S1E1 in HD for 2.99, and the season pass is 39.99. EDIT: Their preview clip was in 5.1 surround.

As much as I like to see more BB-8, I don’t think he should be passed around so much. I haven’t seen the show yet, but why is he always hanging around Kaz instead of Poe? Does it make sense?

What happened to the realistic rivalry between pilots like in TPM? Everyone on this show is too friendly with eachother. Definitely made for the kiddies. I just hope they don't "F" with CW when it comes back.

All in all, there were a few times I could see through the b.s. and see that there could be a good show in there somewhere. The lead is a human Jar Jar though and needs some work.

As I understand it, there are two tiers of racers, with the elites called the Aces. Kaz and the rest of Team Fireball are in the lower-tier. I think the rivalry you're looking for can likely be found among the Aces.

Frankly, I liked the first three episodes of this series better than I did Rebels upon first viewing. That said, it needs to raise the stakes a bit with the spying and the First Order threat a bit.

Well that was underwhelming to say the least. Between the stupid plot and the awful characterization of the "hero" there isn't much left to like a part from the art direction.

Still, I'll continue to watch it mostly because Rebels had a rocky pilot too and got better afterwards.

Not blown away by it, but it’ll keep me going until the main event...the return of the Clone Wars next year.

If you think about it, Poe and BB-8 spend most of TFA and TLJ apart.
