Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Drove by Pinewood yesterday, it was extremely busy, thought I caught some colorful characters around the actors trailers but who knows. It's always cool driving by and imagining who's there and what's going on inside.

They cant make this movie without Adam Warlock, Mistress Death and Mephisto

Its a real shame that they cant use Silver Surfer & Galactus! damn you Fox.

Will be curious if the movie will use Thanos's brother Eros

Anyone dreading potential deaths? If Cap dies I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it.

We need real stakes with a cosmic threat like Thanos

What was in the comics is the opposite of "real stakes". If anything

I think the Scarlet Witch is going to play a big part in the film and the film that follows.

Then what is the point of using Thanos?

To beat the hell out of Avengers? They haven't met any worthy opponent yet. That franchise needs someone, who is able to wipe the floor with our heroes.

Captain America didn't die in MCU version of Civil War, so they don't need to follow closely "Infinity Gauntlet" storyline too. Also, I hope they will replace "death" character (maybe with Hela).

That would be the main criticism against the MCU, although loki is quite powerful, just not in the movies.

did you not read Infinity Wars? thanos is the villain in it. he's what they have been building the entire MCU around from the first movie until we hit infinity wars.

they always change a certain amount of things from the source materials to fit the movie, some things can't be done for budget and running time so they have to make due with what they can and have.

that same power and ability to destroy all (or most) is the same power to be able to bring it back. that's how much power we are talking about with the infinity gauntlet.

also, to have killed off as many characters as were killed in infinity wars books and leave them dead you wouldn't have very many movies to go watch from Marvel.

no novel, story or graphic novel has ever been able to truly go word for word to it's transition to the movie screen. most of them would take hours and hours of viewing, I'm sure you know that. studios try to get the most bang for the buck out of what they can sneak into their 2.5-3hrs and 3hrs is a long time in the movie seat. they try to get the most important things possible to make the story work. the good ones do and they get the major milestones in too. as well as a few unexpected spins outside of the original source material.

also, remember, most of the people are not going to believe what is actually in the comic books because it's just too damn fantastical for the average joe to accept, that is the biggest issue next to budget and runtime that changes what is in the books to what is on the screen.
