Because Coulson originated in the MCU.

I know that. It's just whatever storyline he seems to be involved in with the comics doesn't have anything to do with the films.

Why are people posting spoilers for comic books that are completely unrelated to this movie.

Super glad to have that spoiled...

For people to ask questions or feed speculation....

I am sure this film will follow a loose foundation of the base story.

I thought people stop reading Marvel comics? They have been selling way less than DC comics lately. It's so bad to the point where Marvel is cancelling a lot of their current titles.

That was going to happen with Legacy anyway, for example there will only be one Captain America book. Marvel actually over took DC in April.

Yeah, but Marvel shouldn't be struggling like this considering how popular the MCU is.

There is a long list of reasons why Marvel is in the position it is in.
The MCU does not feed the comics division. There is no downward flow. They are not pushing people to buy comics. That is one of their issues. The second of many other issues is Diamond.

Really? Because it seems like they are with their comics being so PC, constantly tie-in every issue for all these big events, and having shocking twists (ex: killing off characters, superheroes joining HYDRA).

No, for example. The Captain America in the MCU is the exact opposite of the Cap in the comics. Tony Stark is currently a hologram. Thor Odinson, Vision, and Scarlett Witch are Hydra. Anyone who went looking for the books after seeing the movies, would be instantly turned off. There should be a line of books based on the MCU.

Thankfully there are other books that are picking up the pieces.

I guess you're right. I guess with the MCU being so successful and all, Marvel feels like they can afford to take more risks than ever before. Even though a lot of people don't like the direction they are going.

The whole Hydra thing played out better in the MCU. They had thrown out in the comics, that there were sleeper agents on all the teams. That never played out and people just fell into place. I still have no idea why anyone but Cap is with Hydra.

Didn't Magneto join HYDRA as well? That's weird because Magneto hates HYDRA.
