If Thanos gets 30 minutes screentime in each film then we may have a potentially well written developed character. Heath Ledger had 33 minutes of screentime in The Dark Knight.

I would love a 6hr two-part epic, but this is Marvel, not DC. Marvel movies tend to run between 125-145min.

Exactly, 145 min is just about 2 1/2 hours. These next 2 Avengers movies aren't the usual Marvel movies, this is the culmination of 10 years worth of setting up this overall storyline. I'm guessing they'll make them longer just on that alone. Not to mention longer in order to accommodate so many characters.

But even WB/DC didn't give the full "Ultimate Cut" a theatrical release. So both studios can be seen as being averse to long runtimes when there's money to be made from more showings per day as they say. The other thing is that unlike DC, Marvel don't actually seem to release extended cuts so they would need a 2.5-3hr theatrical cut in the first place.

I think Marvel will make these the longest movies only if the directors can make a strong case for the length and have the test screenings fare successfully.

Yeah since this is such a big event, I'm hoping for close to 3 hours.

I kinda doubt that. In fact the whole rumor started as a joke on the Civil War commentary: http://www.cosmicbooknews.com/conten...-america-nomad

I do, however, think there is a high probability
[Show spoiler]Cap dies and we see Bucky or Falcon take over as Cap.

^not really spoiler as its just my speculation, but dont want to piss anyone off so I tagged it.

Interestingly, though, one of the major characters in that
[Show spoiler]Nomad
storyline was Namor, whose rights are back at Marvel/Disney now. (Viper, too, but Fox still has her.... I think. Her involvement with HYDRA might make her one of those grey-area people like Quicksilver)

Id have no problem with Steve not suiting up in the first film and then reacquiring the Shield and costume in the 2nd film.

Seeing all of them sitting on the floor watching the footage like fans brings a sense of joy to my nerdy little heart.

The all sat down to watch Wonder Woman

Seriously though, it looks like they have a massive screen at their backs, so I'm also curious as to what they were looking at.
