I'm actually a bit worried about the seriousness of the ramifications that will happen. I just listened to 3-4 minutes of the score via the live premier, and it barely has any hopeful inspiration sound to it.

Also, I'm seriously thinking that Guardians Vol. 3 might end up being set prior to Infinity War and Avengers 4.

I have Cinemark XD tickets for Friday because my local IMAX wasn't preselling, come to find out they aren't even showing Infinity War! WTF? First movie filmed entirely in IMAX and they are showing Rampage instead this week. They had Ragnarok but not Black Panther (which they are barely running on standard and 3D screens). I'm not sure what kind of politics are at play but they are a Premier Cinema.

Heh I live in Las Cruces, I bought my Avengers tickets last Wednesday. Maybe I'll get lucky and I'll be able to see this in IMAX when I go to ABQ to run for the zoo on the 6th.

Probably a clearance issue. Some studios (and I believe Disney is one of them) will grant a theater exclusive rights to show a film in a certain area when booking the picture. So if another nearby theater (even without an IMAX screen) has Infinity War, then maybe they can't.

Here the AMC Empire didn't play some IMAX releases (The Hobbit, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Age of Ultron come right to mind) since the Regal across the street without IMAX had the movies, but there are other nearby IMAXes so is nice to have one playing something different sometimes, if it was the only IMAX option that would be annoying.
