Oh dear lord Marvel has done it! The culmination of ten years of epic interconnected storytelling on a scale hitherto unseen is a whale of film that spares no time in jumping straight to the dire straights. And it does not relent. It is very funny at times yes, but when shit hits the fan it hits without remorse or consideration of feelings. The gang is mostly, with a couple of exceptions, all accounted for and all do their parts with passion to spare. This is what the DCEU should have been. Take your characters to dire places yes, but do not sacrifice the fun along the way. Infinity War ends on a sobering cliffhanger if ever there was one. Now we must wait until May of next year to see the true finale of one Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe before it shifts into another.

P.S. Thanos, thanks to the tireless efforts of Josh Brolin and the effects wizards who aided him, is a hunky purple badass who is so much more than a mere "mwahahaha" evil bad guy. Thanos has an interesting story to him. And a compelling one. His actions are no less awful, but damn it all if you aren't drawn to him anyway.

I’ll post this here too, in case people aren’t following all 3 threads (box office, spoiler, non-spoiler).

Just finished watching it a 2nd time. I highly recommend seeing it twice. The first time is so overwhelming with trying to catch/follow everything. The 2nd viewing is just an amazing ride without needing to concentrate for all of the minutia and details!

God DAAAAAMN this film is so friggin’ good!
