Anyone saying 'Civil War' is even at the bottom of MCU is clearly delusional. The Russos did amazing job making a movie with 12+ heroes and give them all a moment to shine without the movie being a mess.

We got Captain trying to protect Bucky, Zemo wanting revenge without even trying to kill the Avengers, just using Bucky's past to divide our heroes, Wanda feeling guilty for the victims when they tried to stop Crossbones. The Vision trying to protect Wanda, Hawkeye coming to free her, Spider-man being recruited by Iron Man, Black Widow agreeing with Iron Man but supporting his friend Steve at the end, Black Panther joining Iron Man because Bucky is blamed for his father's death. Ant-man giving us one of the funniest scenes when he becomes Giant-man. War Machine paying the cost of them going too far trying to stop Captain. The sokovia accords.

They really did all that. Not silly action without any context. No plotholes. A good sequel to Winter Soldier and the beginning of everything that comes next for MCU.

It was perfect. You don't know how hard it is to make a coherent storyline like this one and not fail.

I thought Civil War was excruciatingly bad but then I again it was so bad I couldn't finish it so maybe it has some redeeming final act. I've heard otherwise from plenty of people who's opinion I trust, however.

None of the MCU movies are critically rated as low as GL at 4.6. Only ones that are close are BvS, SS, Wolverine: Origins from the past 10 or so years. And the only one significantly lower is F4ntastic.

From an audience perspective, GL has a B on Cinemascore. BvS is the only only other recent comic book movie with a B. Lowest again is F4ntastic with a C-.

If you average all the audience scores from RT, MC and IMDB for all the comic book movies from the past 10-15 years. GL is the 2nd worse behind F4ntastic, then Origins, then SS & Spider-Man 3 tied.

Green Lantern is not good. That said, I don't see how its any worse than these films given its a retread/copy of the basic Marvel predictable plot and corny jokes formula.

Well, there you go. BvS is better than any of these films and look at the critical rating. Its something to have your own (superior) opinion than the masses.

Oh, you are one of those people.

BvS is a German expressionist masterpiece, and Zack Snyder is a modern day Stanley Kubrick. You just need to have a very high IQ to understand this kino, right?

And I love a good MCU film; Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers, Captain America 1 & 2, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange.. all highly enjoyable films.

Of course. Everyone else is wrong, and your opinion is obviously the right one. They don't have an IQ over 200 like you do

If we are talking opinion, then as long as one person loves Catwoman, then by that rationale, no movie is bad or good.

In terms of general consensus? There are going to be films more generally agreed upon more than others.

Yeah Civil War's reveal of Winter Soldier's hand in Stark's Parents Death is the same as Ant-Man's Heist plot, Dark World's revenge plot, and Guardians of the Galaxy's plot.

The MCU has been consistent since the beginning. I'm proud i've been there since the the beginning and can't wait for Infinity War. Make 12+ great movies from the same universe is not easy feat.

I actually like Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3, especially for the chances each film took. I still think Iron Man 3 had one of the best trailers I have ever seen, as it relates to the movie and the portrayal of the Mandarin. If Marvel intends on making their villains pushovers, then why not go all in with Trevor Slattery? Unfortunately, for the fans looking forward to seeing the Mandarin, they may have felt like they were punk'd, and as a result will never like the movie.
