Also Ego The Living Planet is owned by Fox as well. Yet they made a deal with Marvel Studios to have him appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

I agree. However, it is interesting knowing that whatever we are currently seeing in the MCU could be retcon to something X-Men related in a few years. Just like how Spider-Man was retcon into Iron Man 2.

I don't either and I don't think we'll be seeing any of the Fox characters any time soon.

Exactly. Why rush? Marvel is going to need an X-Men boost down the line. After Avengers 4, what else can turn on general audiences in 2024 or so?

And there are three pointy claws on Cap's borrowed shield...

I don't know what y'all talking about. Thanos has always had those lines on his face.

Anyways, we're not going to see an introduction of X-Men/Fantastic Four until 2020.

Just saw a massive alleged spoiler for this on another site while innocently searching for something unrelated to the franchise.

Hoping it's not actually true...

I'm really hoping Fantastic Four will show up in MCU in Phase Four. This movie is literally the Top May Release I'm most eager to watch.

Disney hasn't officially bought Fox yet. It going to take about a year or 18 months for the deal to be made. After that, Marvel Studios needs another three years to develop reboots of Fantastic Four and X-Men.

I'd rather they'd get started with Fantastic Four over X-Men first as a greater priority for the MCU. Also was gonna post my idea for a MCU FF but this is the AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR thread.
Maybe there'll be a Phase Three, Set One and Set Two sets with exclusive bonus discs for each?

They're planning it right now. Maybe it's officially "plan B" but they are structuring for it right now. It's like when the Russos admitted they were planning on Spider-Man in Civil War way before it was official.

The MCU has to be toying with a "Days of Future Past" type reboot. Use Kang and multiple universes merging. Recast Tony and Steve and set up four more phases for the decade of the 2020's. Passing the armor or the shield to another character is as unappealing as it gets. General audiences do not want legacy characters or any "Son of the Mask" or "Son of Pink Panther" bullcrap. Neither do I as a Marvel fan.

I would absolutely love Kang the Conqueror in the MCU! Agreed too with everything else and it's always great to have multiple plans for these comic book movies. Especially the Marvel Studios ones.

I don’t find comebacks funny, at least not as the only style of humor utilized. It’s juvenile.

All we really know is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will definitely be a 2020 Marvel release.

Marvel often releases a sequel three years apart. Besides Spider-Man which is every two years. If I'm to go off that information along with already established Marvel franchises, here is what I predict:

Doctor Strange sequel (2020)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2020)
Untitled Marvel Movie (2020)

Black Panther sequel (2021)
Ant-Man/Wasp 3 (2021)
Spider-Man 3 (2021)

Captain Marvel sequel (2022)
Untitled Marvel Movie (2022)
Untitled Marvel Movie (2022)

One of those untitled movies is obviously an Avengers sequel. My guess being we won't see another one until 2022-2024.

I mean...did you expect someone to suddenly stop what they were doing and go, 'Thor, your eye is gone! Let me tend that wound for you'?

There is no evidence to suggest that Marvel Studios is currently planning on incorporating the X-Men into the MCU. The Spider-Man situation is different because of Kevin Feige's close relationship with Sony, due to the success of the Raimi trilogy. Not that Kevin Feige doesn't have a relationship with Fox, since his first Marvel movie was X-Men after all, but he had more involvement with the Sony movies. So both Kevin Feige and Sony made the agreement to have Spider-Man into the MCU. The whole Disney and Fox deal is different because... 1.) The deal hasn't been made yet. 2.) Kevin Feige has nothing to do with it. He's just as surprised as we are about it. 3.) X-Men films are still being developed. So rebooting X-Men into MCU is way too soon considering X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out at the end of 2018. That just leaves Marvel Studios to reboot it in about a year. That's WAY too soon. Not even Spider-Man was rebooted that soon.

However, I do believe that Kevin Feige IS thinking about the X-Men, but it is not something Marvel Studios themselves is planning on until the deal is made.
