Definitely. Our theater doesn't do reserved seating. We saw The Last Jedi on opening night at 7. Got to the theater at 5 to wait in line. First ones. But very long line by 6. I do like reserved seating, but there is something about waiting in long lines for Star Wars and Marvel movies that I like.

When I showed up early for Days of Future Past I thought I was the first one there. Then this guy came walking down the corridor and it turned out he had been there before me. He ended up filling me in on developments on Agents of SHIELD while we waited to be let in.

I think that's expected at this point.

Infinity War (almost assuredly) won't have the reviews of BP, it doesn't have the breakthrough element of BP or the original Avengers, and it's only part one of a story. And let's not forget just last year, the breakthrough solo movie Wonder Woman demolished the domestic box office of the years in the making team movie Justice League.

I do think it will make more than Ultron due to all the extra characters and build up, but would be surprised if it even passes the first film (and BP is going to go higher than that).

long lines arent really a done thing in UK to be honest. We tend to be on time for movies or late if anything(the amount of people who walk in when the movie has already started, so at least 40 mins from showtime...)

Concerts always have queues though so I guess that'd be our fan equivalent.

There were rumours of an announcement that was going to happen yesterday (it didn't), but I never heard anything about any event today.
