am not sure
[Show spoiler]created the soul stone
but it could certainly be connected...maybe his father had briefly encountered it like he had the tesseract....

Would imagine it's tied to that innate human desire to exceed one's limitations.

I think that's what they're doing as well. I think anyone that thinks this won't make at least 600 million isnt thinking this through.

- Nothing like this has happened before.
- They moved up the date a week.
- The success of Black Panther.

That's a fairly common theme with Spider-man villains. Spiders have eight limbs, ditto octopi; many insects are six-legged, some animals & reptiles have a prehensile tail that acts like an extra arm or leg. Doc Ock, Scorpion, the Lizard... iirc, Peter himself grew four extra arms back around ASM 100.

Probably because spiders have 8 limbs. And he's, y'know, a Spider-Guy or whatever.

I get that part. But... I'd hope to see some growth in the character by something like just throwing out all the tech and focusing on what he is foremost with what he had before. I mean, w/ a regular Spidey suit. Not a tech one.

They’re past that. They let u see Peter beat Vulture without the Stark Suit to show that already.

Weve gotten 5 films with classic Spider suit. I understand the reasoning to try a new mentored by Stark spider-man.

I prefer Peter making his own tech but weve seen that already.

If the MCU didnt put a spin on Peter i think it would have been underwhelming.

Were gonna have to live with this version that talks to his suit.
Its not traditional but it is somewhat fresh.

My Peter goes home after getting beat by villain X and tweaks his webbing to combat certain threats. Now his suit can help him half way.
Amazing and Gwen magnetized his webbing which is closer to the classic iteration.

What do you mean you "can see that"? That was precisely the point of the third act of Homecoming. How did you miss it? It wasn't exactly subtle...
