The Phase-1 MCU films are so overlooked. Re- watched Thor and Cap TFA and each of these were so well made and had great character defining moments. After seeing how DCEU Phase-1 turned out, makes me appreciate these films even more now.

have to agree - I was never a fan of the first Thor, felt too rushed (who falls in love over a single campfire chat and is SO transformed in character.... WAY too far fetched, even for movie-mindframes IMO)

BUT, rewatched it a week or so ago and it felt so much better as an origin story and intro to the outer relem side of the MCU.
Some interesting timeline information also.

Its still not a fave, but fits much better and its quality feel's elevated by its place within the MCU.

not sure how anyone could stay awake that long in all honesty.
you'd be falling asleep by the time Ultron rocks up.

Yep, I don't know I mean I don't see it but then again they could do it.

I know irrc a lot of the actors are wanting to move away and isn't Marvel wanting to drop in new actors to keep the franchise fresh?

Also it is almost time to start watching all the films again. I like others like to watch them to get ready for the new one.

The Avengers: Infinity War will be nothing like the comics (obviously)

Quote:
While it's clear that the Infinity Gauntlet comic book series has inspired Avengers: Infinity War, it now sounds like fans expecting a direct adaptation are going to be disappointed. That probably shouldn't come as a surprise but it's news sure to disappoint those who may have been hoping to see Thanos worshipping Death or Adam Warlock assembling a team to go and do battle on a cosmic battlefield.

Asked in an on-set interview if there were any specific comic books he read to help prepare for the movie, Mark Ruffalo explained that there weren't really any which would have helped the cast much.

"This one we’re like, in new territory really. And it’s so different from the comic books. There’s elements that are clearly the same but when you really start to get into the story everything changes. Planet Hulk was a big influence for Thor 3, and the idea, the inkling of World War Hulk starts to… I read (that) way before doing this and there’s some interesting stuff in there, but honestly nothing so far directly related to this." So, there go those Avengers: World War Hulk theories!

As for whether or not Ruffalo actually sat down to read Infinity Gauntlet, Ruffalo added: "Yeah, that is informative as well, but then again it just gets so… off of that topic that it starts to become a little confusing where you’re like “Why isn’t this in there? Why are we doing this?" What do you think of these remarks? As always, feel free to weigh in with your thoughts in the comments section below.

There's dozens of us!

The first one and Ragnarok are two of my top 5. As a trilogy, I prefer them to Cap or Iron Man

The first two Thor movies are decent. The MCU has yet to have a bad movie really. I'd put Ragnarok right behind Guardians as my favorite of the MCU.

I’d say average. Bad is Steel, Elektra or Wolverine Orgins etc.

By “burn me at the stake” do you perchance mean “raise me on a pedestal?”
