Usually for CBMs I buy tickets for myself and my niece and nephew. Think I'll get an extra two as well and if my sister and husband don't both go with us. We'll have extra space during the movie.

I wonder if the fan event will be another marathon of all of the MCU movies. It would take about two full days with no sleep.

No, The Fan event is just the first showing of the new movie one hour earlier, and will include some lame crap like cards or a coin and popcorn. The marathon will be a separate thing, and is probably only being done at select locations

I did the opening night fan events for The Last Jedi and Thor: Ragnarok. Basically, it's just a way for theaters to charge higher prices for the first showings. They usually offer some sort of special introduction by the director, popcorn and a drink, and some sort of collectible. With TLJ you got a few cards and with T:R you got a coin. Not sure any of that is worth the higher price just to see it one hour sooner, so I didn't do it again for Black Panther. Don't think I will for Infinity War either, unless they offer something really cool.
