Guardians 3 would fit the bill nicely. Plus it would be perfect since the cosmic side is starting to expand a bit with Captain Marvel.

That could actually be interesting. Have the Infinity War Part 1 dealing with the Avengers all still not getting along great due to the fallout of Civil War, and they try to go up against Thanos and get totally crushed. Then Coulson leads SHIELD in helping get them out of the mess, and the reveal of him being alive helps bring them back together for Infinity War Part 2, helping parallel his death uniting them in the original film.

Unless Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 somehow flops, I'm definitely expecting a third one to be one of the 2020 films as it would continue the three year gap between them. 2014, 2017, and 2020. Beyond that, I think 2020 could also include Spider Man 2 and Doctor Strange 2, as long as Doctor Strange ends up being a success.

Could crossover with Agents of SHIELD nicely too, with Coulson leading SHIELD to help the Avengers being the storyline of AoS's final series.

He's exactly the reason I stopped watching Agents of SHIELD. I don't like the character at all.

I get why they're separate but I would never want the AoS crowd in these films. They're boring compared to all the characters we're getting.

They're just nowhere near as compelling as the film side. I liked Coulson cuz he was that office guy kind of trying to keep tabs on stuff but continuously getting more workload. But... that was it. I was a bit sad to see him die, still not a well written moment either... for it or to add influence to, but whatever... he died. He wasn't important. AoS just... isn't really compelling. It's interesting but it's just a show playing high stakes but never really selling it well for me. It's best moment was w/ how Cap 2 gave it material to work from.

Could have done w/o Paxton going metal but I enjoyed still. Also.. he's Bill Paxton, national treasure.

That's only because the likes of Iron Man and Captain America are superheroes. In terms of character arcs and development, I think the Agents of SHIELD characters are very compelling: especially Skye/Daisy, who has gone on quite a journey from cynical hacker to faithful Quake.

Avengers: Infinity War Will Feature 68 Different Characters Not 67

"The Russos also took a moment during the panel to correct a mistake they made earlier this year when describing the plot to the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, which they are on board to direct," Cleveland.com reports. "The movie features 68 distinct characters, not 67."

Mate, I thought 67 characters was just right, but 68? That's going to make the film way too crowded.

Good, the bigger the better. Make this way over the top and overcrowded. No sarcasm, I'm really looking forward to this. The more chaotic, the better.

Heh I just love how people are complaining so much about character overload in B v S but "67" characters in this is okay. I think it'll be a bit much but hoping at least 50 of them will be cameos or minor supporting characters, otherwise this entire film will feel like fan service.

It's starting to sound like a LEGO roster.

I hope we get to see Daisy/Quake take on Thanos alongside Spider-Man, Rocket Racoon and Doctor Strange.

I'm sure a vast majority will be small cameos and minor characters. 67 or 68 characters is a hell of a lot for a two part movie, but I really don't mind it. I'm loving the MCU so far and from what I've heard of Thanos in the comics, I'm totally expecting chaos.

It's easier to swallow because it built up to it over the course of over a dozen movies and a couple of TV series.

Not the second movie out!

I agree - 67 was just perfect. But at 68, this is total overkill and particular characters wont have any focus. I'll probably boycott the film now.

I don't mind the character overload in B v S, but you do understand that Marvel has been building up these characters spread out amongst all the movies in the MCU?

Technically, B v S is only the 2nd movie in the new DCCU, with Man of Steel being what "Iron Man" was for the MCU.

They're (DC) stuffing all these characters in one movie (B v S), when they've barely developed them through "prequels" like Marvel did with Hulk, Iron Man I II III, Captain America, Thor, etc.

And then we're supposedly getting a Justice League movie next year, when we haven't even gotten any solo movies to build it up.
