Actually, that's where trailers got their name, and their original intention. They played between movies.
I think at a marathon Marathon it would be great to have trailers running the whole time during the intermissions. Give people something to watch while they're sitting around waiting.

Black Panther and Wonder Woman attract an extra demographic that the regular superhero films dont.

Grandmothers were getting tickets.....and havent seen a DC or Marvel film.

I dont see that group lining up for Thanos.

I know I'll be the black sheep here but I really hope I like this film, I hated Ragnorak(it was as bad as DC's Green Lantern to me) and I thought Civil War, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man kinda sucked... I still need to see Black Panther.

Hopefully it's a more serious tone like Winter Soldier.

Same writers and directors, but why didn't you like Civil War (same guys)

This should be really dark and serious with fleeting moments of humour.

It'll play better in China and its got the extra week advantage here domestically but I don't think it'll beat BP out by much. It won't sustain the momentum BP has here domestically with its 30-40% drops when most Marvel films drop as drastically as they do.

Wow if you really didn't like any of those other films then I wouldn't think you would like Infinity War. Seems like you don't like comic-y things, with winter soldier being more serious and thriller like. I loved winter soldier, but I also loved all of the other movies you didn't like ha.

As far as if IW will do better than BP, I think that's a given. BP didn't have serious pre-hype like this will and has forever. BP had decent pre-hype, then blew out of control once it started getting good reviews and good word of mouth.

Keep checking as my normal IMAX 3D theater didn't have any showings this morning (or more accurately showed sold out) but apparently AMC was or fandango was having difficulties and then showtimes finally showed up for pre-order around lunch today.

I was so happy since they refused to offer black panther in 3D IMAX at my preferred theater so I was going to be very mad if they didn't on Avengers.

BP had very serious pre-hype.
Way more than Dr.Stange and Ragnarok.
The BP cast were making media rounds before the film.
I dont recall ANY youtubes with Thor or Dr Stranges casts.

10 years in the making pre-hype, as in the end all be all climatic movie to the WHOLE entire marvel cinematic universe? No, I don't think BP had that. BP did surprisingly well, but its' still behind some of the other MCU films in terms of total gross. I am fairly sure IW will beat that.

Its not his last film. There are tons of leaked pictures from shooting of Avengers 4 with him/Pepper/Happy. A few others that were taken as well with other actors.

I know i've watched it like 4 times at work and I can't wait to get home later and watch the trailer on my 120" screen. Then i'm finally going to watch my copy of Thor Ragnarok in 3d that I got in on Wednesday

The theater marathon looks wack so I'll just do one at home. Why they think the hardcore fans need a summary of phase one is beyond me.

How is Don Cheadle still relevant enough to be credited before Black Panther or Spiderman? What Gamora being credited after Drax (and last) means?

And Chris Evans should clearly be next to Downey JR since he's the leader of the Avengers and most important character after Iron Man.
I think you are looking into this far too much. I've seen people get 2nd billing for nothing more then an extended cameo.

Preordered my IMAX tickets. First time I've ever done that. No way I'm risking Moviepass on opening weekend after the BP debacle. And I HAVE to see this on in IMAX anyway.
