Which is why I was hoping Master Mold would appear in X-Men: Days of Future Past, but never did. Hopefully, Master Mold appears in the MCU. Then again, Marvel Studios didn't execute Ultron very well.

I'm not talking about greatest comic book villains of all time. I'm just talking about the MCU. If Thanos wipes out half the universe, then it will be almost impossible for any other villain to top that in future films of the MCU.

As far as the Fox X-Men series goes, the Sentinels were the biggest threat. Apocalypse SHOULD have been the biggest threat but they screwed it up with that one.

It's possible that whatever time travel that happens in Avengers 4 is part of Thanos' new vision for reality. Or the Quantum Realm/Zone factors in via Ant-Man since he's featured in the time travel to the Battle of New York. Personally, I feel like Infinity War is similar to the plot of Deathly Hallows - Part 1, and Avengers 4 will be similar in plot to Back to the Future Part 1 and 2.

The reason I brought up Sentinels is because it's a good example on how villains causing the most damage doesn't always mean the best. Even if Thanos wipes out half of the life in the universe, everything will go back to normal anyway thanks to the time stone. Which may backfire because the MCU has already been criticized for having their characters not staying dead, and Kevin Feige acknowledges this too. So it's all in the execution that matters.

As for Apocalypse, yeah, I agree. He should have been way more powerful. However, there is no shame to losing to Phoenix, though. Even Thanos himself is no match for Phoenix, so that's something that X-Men: Apocalypse at least got right.

I don't even care if they end up reversing time and undoing what Thanos has done. I just want to see Thanos destroy Earth and the universe. Even if its just temporarily.

As for Apocalypse. The problem isn't who he lost to but that it ended so quickly and easily. A big villain such as him should have got the Thanos treatment and at least should have been built up over 2 films at the least.
But with all that being said, I still liked the film.

Does anyone think we will see someone besides Thanos weild the Infinity Gauntlet? I know its happened a couple of times in the comics. That probably won't happen till Avengers 4 though (if it happens at all)

Precisely. Because, unless they go back multiple times or something, it seems like certain aspects will be altered even before the Battle of New York. Think all the way back to Iron Man 1. Because Tony won't be Iron Man, possibly, but involved with Shield. And his hair is even a dark blond.

I dont think its safe to think Thanos is going to do what he did in the books.
They have yet to present Lady Death, so the film version might have a different set of motives.

So even folks speculating who will die is moot as well if time can be reversed.

I like Cyberpunk but most of the time I get tired of having to read his ramblings on comic books when we're here discussing comic movies.

I like the T-800 quite a bit, Terminator 2 is still one of my favourite sequels of all-time.

Oh, I agree the films are going to be a lot different. But IMO the only way can justify all the hype they've given Thanos, is if he actually does destroy the universe or Parts of it. (Even if it gets reversed or w/e later on).

Anything less, would be a disappointment at least for me. With all the hype there is. Just killing Iron Man and or Cap or w/e isn't going to do it for me.

I've written up a break down of the plot based on everything released so far which I'll be posting soon. I'll post it with potential spoilers hidden. Since outside of a few speculations on my part, everything makes sense, based on who is and isn't present during certain events.

Careful Cyberpunk, you forgot to take your X-Men shades off. There's no way that Phoenix is more powerful than Thanos with all the Infinity Stones.

Sigh, based on the poster artwork, I'm utterly crestfallen that for whatever reason, the decision was made to retain Thor's short haircut (since 'Ragnarok') ... IMO, the character looks less 'norsegod-like' with the shorty 'do (compounded by the loss of his iconic winged helmet) ... at least Loki still has his long locks, for now ...
