I'm curious to know when/where in the story Thanos gets the Mind stone (Vision), the Reality stone (The Collector on Knowhere), the Time stone (Doctor Strange), and the Soul stone (????) as the trailer seems to show Thanos only having the Power and Space stones on the Gauntlet. Does that mean he'll acquire the others after his battle with the Avengers on Titan and Wakanda?

I think they are hiding the full Gauntlet.

The prevalent theory seems to be he will collect the rest or most of the remaining stones in this film and then the fourth film will focus on stopping him with a fully powered gauntlet.

That's what I'm thinking too.

I think he means hiding it in a sense that not showing when and where Thanos is collecting them by looking at the trailer. Like showing the full gauntlet in the trailer would be spoiling.

Yes it is. It can be seen in one of the features on the Age of Ultron disc. It's called 'The Infinite Six.'

However, since then, the Gauntlet design and Stone placements have changed.

He has the Power stone from Nova Corps. Then the Space stone.
