Spider-Man 2 comes out in late summer 2019 and Guardians 3 is one of those 9 movie dates -- probably May 1, 2020. So I guess we will have more Marvel Studios movies.

So funny that a few years ago people would say things like -- "After phase 3, Marvel Studios will (or should) shut down."

You wonder about the mentality of some people.

Most movies are filmed in current day 16:9 ish full widescreen rather than the more ‘cinematic’ squished wider screen (Iron Man extras prove the image is there, but with a line guide for the wider ratio....so what’s will be lost/kept is clearly shown) so basically diene to director preference, we often lose part of the image,
Animation is different as they often won’t animate more image than is needed.

What I don’t get is why the home release doesn’t give us the option to view the version we prefer as it’s not like the image isn’t of often there’s. ITs blocked out by horrid black bars.

2D should retain at least the theatricals formst ratio

Maybe in the future with future releases we'll get the option to view the version we prefer.

Oh, I see. It sucks that The Avengers movie is the only Marvel movie released on Blu-ray with the aspect ratio of 1.78:1 which I just checked to see what it was. You don't think Avengers: Infinity War will have the aspect ratio 1.78:1 on its Blu-ray release ?

Disney could easily blow 1 billion on this movie and make back 2 or 2.5 billion IF it was the only movie they were releasing this year....but those special effects better be worth 200 million bucks.......everyone else gets like 10-20 million including the peeps who do the voice of rocket and groot.
