Really? Well, I-I would think that you would find at least one characters death, that you hold dear to your heart, would be upsetting. Or perhaps you'd find one that you don't feel would be justified?

I find that there's certain GROUP of characters for everyone, where you have your top favorites, then you have ones that you find enduring and would find heartbreaking because you wanted more of them, and then ones you wouldn't be phased by/expecting them to be offed.

There was, at one time before Avengers 4 was announced, where many thought Cap would die in Civil War and then be brought back in Infinity War. Very reminiscent of scenario of how Superman was handled... Albeit, hopefully, it would've been better executed.

I think Hawkeye garnered quite a following of how he fought during the Battle of New York. Then, like for Black Widow from Iron Man 2 to Avengers 1, Age of Ultron gave Hawkeye a lot more depth and humor. Civil War furthered that as well.

However, depending on how he's handled here, and if he were to have his swan song, I think I could possibly find myself with some satly tears. I mean, I did find his reaction to Groot's sacrifice quite touching.

I think there's definitely a difference of a shocking death and one that causes you to cry. I would be shocked if they killed Falcon, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Rocket, Scarlet Witch, Okoye, Shuri, Banner and/or Hulk.

I would be surprised by the lack of character development if they killed Hawkeye, Bucky, Gamora, Ant-Man, the Wasp (I believe their movie takes place before IW), and Mantis.

I think, depending how they're done, I may tear up if/when Steve, Tony, Pepper (although I wasn't in Iron Man 3) and Happy (since it's Jon Favreau and has meaning behind the scenes). So it looks like Tony and Steve would be my top. Which I'm kinda surprised by. Perhaps because they're the 2 most are expecting to bite the dust.

Clearly we've never met.

I'm sorry, I am a fan and as a fan am I not allowed to have a little fun thinking up possibilities of how it all can play out?

Time travel has been hinted at for a while now. That was my motive to come up with all of that.

Nebula has been peripheral......she could be a key to stopping Thanos, adding weight to her character.

I can see her dying either as sacrificial or part 2 monkey-wrenches Thanos plan.

I bet they’ll go the Flashpoint route and find a way to recast many of the roles. Which will probably be stupid, but could be executed well. Also, if they do this before Flashpoint is released, DC will just be accused of copying Marvel again...

I don't think they are going to time-travel in The Avengers 4. What's probably going to happen is either Tony Stark uses that same technology in Captain America: Civil War that he showed off at MIT to find a way to beat Thanos, or they travel through the multiverse in order to save everyone.

Id equate using an alternative Universe as the same as a “time travel” reset.

But good call....virtual reality illusion is a fresh take no one has brought up here.....thats part 2 shit though.

I was thinking the same as well, but it all the depends on the storyteller's time-traveling rules. Usually in time-travel stories, people go back in time to change the timeline. But if you are going to an alternate universe, you're not really changing anything. Kinda like that episode of Rick and Mortey where their universe was destroyed and there was no way of fixing it. So they had no choice but to find another universe that was exactly like their's and make the best of it. Also the reason why one of The Avengers might possibly travel to the multiverse is because
[Show spoiler]that's where half of the population on earth that disappeared go to after Thanos snaps his fingers. However, Thanos didn't need all of the infinity stones to make this happen.
That's just a rumor anyway. But yeah, that's one of the reasons why I'm not convinced Thanos will get all of the infinity stones, but I could be wrong. For all we know, Marvel CGI'd out some of the stones from all the trailers.

As for Tony Stark's technology, it kinda sounds a tad bit like Inception. That's not a bad thing, though. It's still a very refreshing take for the superhero genre. Especially considering that the X-Men films is already going to use time-travel again for the second time and probably a third or fourth time in the near future. So it's good that the MCU is doing something different to alter things. If the rumors are true that is.

Nebula might get a hold of the Infinity Gauntlet at some point after Thanos' defeat, so we'll get to see Karen Gillan in a version of appearance.

Chris Evans already re-upped once, to make sure Steve could appear in Avengers 4. If they don't decide to kill him off, and he comes back later, I would not be surprised if Chris negotiates it one film at a time. He's gone on record to say that his main hesitation about playing Cap to begin with, was essentially surrendering the next ten years of his life to a binding legal contract.

Just because an actor is retiring from the franchise it doesn't mean their character has to be killed off. I'd like to see either Tony or Cap get to ride off into the sunset at the end of Avengers 4. And if either of them is going to die then it should happen in this movie so we can see the fallout and how the characters deal with their loss in Avengers 4.
