So glad Thor: Ragnarok looked very cinematic and was visually stunning. Score was also much better than in most Marvel films. Very different and memorable.

It was gorgeous. Score-wise, it also helps that I'm a sucker for retro, 80's synth music.

I’m so glad that the likes of Mark Mothersbaugh and Michael Giacchino are now doing scores for Marvel.

For sure.

Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther have the best scores recently (can't wait for Alan's score for Infinity War)

Ant Man looked like a movie from the 90s. So I was cool with that.
As someone who grew up with "movies of the week" in the '80s, I disagree with this point. Most films made for TV have extremely low budgets, and until the early 2000s were all shot in 4x3. There's only so much you can do with that, in terms of film stock, lighting equipment, location control, etc. Most blockbusters have huge budgets these days, and with the right director and crew it shows up on the screen.

I'm really glad that Alan Silvestri is returning for Infinity War. His score for the first Captain America and Avengers are two of my faves from the whole series.

Finally something that doesn't use the same character poses over and over again. I think I've seen the one of Drax crossing his arms and Hulk in AoU on every piece of merch for years now.

It’d be a lot cooler if they were wearing their masks.

Yeah, I think it was mostly that. Though I will say, particularly when it makes the screen size smaller, 1.85 doesn't have as cinematic a look to it (noticed this with Black Panther where the film was incorrectly shown in 1.85, you could sometimes make out traces of the cut off image behind the masking, and it just didn't seem as cinematic in some shots as you know the director wants).

I don't see Groot though (EDIT nevermind, he's right in front of Thor. Hard to see with the lighting).

I read that Marvel purposely left Hawkeye off the poster because he has a specific role in the film's story, and they didn't want to spoil it.
