I presume its to do with how he helped the team out during his retirement, having them stay at his family home with his kids etc.
And then how he came out of retirement to get involved with Civil War.
It seems to have breathed new life into his character seeing him in a different perspective or at the very least, some character development to his story.

Thats why its a shame that we havent had Hawkeye and Black Widow solo movies. The second they bother showing you some actual character to these guys, even as secondary heroes, suddenly you care way way more about them.

Hawkeye just being a farm dad thats a bad ass with a bow, actually makes him way cooler than when he was just a bad ass with a bow in the original movies.
Him having the family makes him vulnerable, so seeing him jumping off skycrapers shooting arrows in Avengers 1 for example, suddenly takes on a way cooler aspect.

I mean, I never cared for Hawkeye but I am curious to see what's in store for him come Infinity War/Avengers 4.

I'm just not foaming at the mouth over not getting any footage of him being shown.

I second this. Black Widow is just kind of there aside from in Winter Soldier. She was good in WS but in all of the Avengers movies she's meh.

Idk its really hard with such a massive cast to get everyone in and give them their due.


Thats what I'm most intrigued with Infinity war.. Not so much story or whose coming or going but with the balance they took with such an undertaking. I don't think anything like this has ever been done before with such a massive amount of individual films getting all meshed into one.

It looks like the solution in Infinity War is to have the characters be split up into groups. Maybe they'll all come together in the fourth film or something.

[Show spoiler]Based on the new footage released today it looks like Banner will be the one to warn everyone about Thanos arrival. It seems like the movie will pick up right after Thor sees Thanos ship in Ragnarok, he/Black Order will attack the Asgardians and force Thor to watch helplessly, Loki will offer the Tesseract and possibly get himself killed in the process.

Banner must jump off Thor's ship while he's still the Hulk, but I wonder what happens to Valkyrie? Is she confirmed to be in the next 2 films or no? Because she is on the ship with Thor but not in any promotional material whatsoever.

Seems like it. Reminds me that I really need to finish reading the Infinity Gauntlet story before this comes out next month. I got halfway through my TPB copy last summer and never finished it.

[Show spoiler]Anytime Loki is predicted to die in a movie or appears to die in a movie I laugh, because they totally can retcon that in future movies so easily, even if they recast him. That and the set photos for 4. He may be in his Avengers 1 uniform, but I don't believe it's that BARF system
