The frame has nothing to do w/ how it looks. Guillermo del Toro and a lot of other directors have no issue w/ how their films look and they're pretty big frames.

Just depends on how you design and move within the frame. Whedon didn't get that part. Yeah, it's a fun movie and has these big cool things happen and it does feel like a comic book. But it's not because of the frame. It's because of what's happening IN the frame that makes it feel like a classic comic book. AoU feels like it was designed for the cinematic frame cuz he got it by that point. Avengers didn't have that.

I'm actively trying to avoid spoilers at this point. The minor details that have been revealed by the Lego sets are fine and I've also been trying to connect a lot of the dots in my head between the trailers and whatnot. I'm still trying to think if I even want to watch a review of the movie before seeing it lol.
