Only because people were expecting it to be a show about superheroes when they had stated repeatedly it wasn't. Plus, I think you are missing the point of the underdog coming from nowhere and rising to a near-impossible challenge. You could even show Coulson in AoS training to beat Thanos.

I didn't miss it. I get what you are saying. Just the thought of all this build up of Thanos to have him taken down by Coulson sounds nuts to me. Kind of takes the wind out if the sails for me.

A figure emerges from the shadows - it's Coulson and he says something along the lines of 'Sorry I've been gone so long. Did you miss me?'
That sounds like the most crap scenario possible. Honestly.

As for why? Because I have no interest in Coulson. He's just a stooge. Sure, he had his moment in the Avengers, but that's it. He hardly made the movie for me. He's just dull.

If Coulson was the one who defeated Thanos, it would ruin the MCU for me. Could you imagine how anti-climatic that would be...? Thank goodness we know that won't happen...

That would be as bad as fans I've seen who actually want Black Widow to be able to lift Mjolnir. Epic laughs right there.

I haven't seen Nashville but I looked it up on here. The description of the movie confused me a bit. Seems like a movie about nothing, but yet it catches what America is about, which the reviewer says still holds weight today.

I dunno - maybe someone else can describe it to me. I'm curious for reasons that this movie has influenced the directors and how they will approach Infinity Wars.

Not necessarily what Nashville is about, but more how it was filmed in a way the allows the perspectives of many different characters being the basis of the film as opposed to centering and anchoring the narrative around a specific character.

Eh? Surely Black Widow's past renders her unworthy?

For me, there isn't any character from AoS that I'd like to see have a cameo, they just don't have the presence. Even when Coulson was in the movies, with the exception of his "demise", he was mainly there as comedic relief, and even then, in small scenes.

Yup, yet a bunch of tools on another forum shortly before AoU came out were saying she should lift it.

Not even Daisy? I think Chloe Bennet would fit into an MCU movie well.

Assuming she doesn't kick the bucket on next week's episode.

You are probably right but I don't know why her character is despised so much my people currently. I think Daisy is a very strong character played excellently by Chloe Bennet and I like that they turned her into a superhero from the comics (Quake).

We're behind in the UK (Daisy
[Show spoiler]seeing a SHIELD member die as a future vision
has happened though) but I doubt they will kill off the show's next main character after Coulson. It would take a lot of guts.

With the way you worded your post I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not. Just to clarify, I think it's face palm worthy if Widow were to lift it.

Never give up on your dreams.

I want an R rated Black Widow film. You want Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to matter. We all gotta dream big.
