I'd also love an R-rated Black Widow. I think it's crazy Black Widow hasn't got her own film yet.

I don't find it crazy at all. She's not that interesting of a character and we now have her backstory through the flashbacks in Age of Ultron.

Bring on Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman(yes I know WW is DC comics).

I disagree, I think she is one of the most engaging MCU characters. Certainly better than Hawkeye.

Couldn't agree more. I can barely tolerate the small amount of her we've seen in the movies thus far. I sure as hell don't have a desire to watch an entire movie of Ms Monotone.

It could be worse, she could have been Jennifer Lawrence.

Not exactly the best comparison to go with is it

She's a supporting character and tbh, if Hulk hasn't been given a solo outing yet and been relegated to support. You think they'll bring her to the fore and make a lead character out of her?

Dare Devil, Punisher and Jessica Jones got TV shows. Black Widow as a movie starter won't be going TV route but that's where her exploits belong Imo. Not a feature length movie.

Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman are probably more ripe to adapt for the big screen.

Her butt is engaging but that's about it. She's bland and boring for the most part.

You can blame Hawkeye on Whedon and now he's stuck like that for continuity reasons. In the comics he has way more of a personality, like way more!

NARMAK. Exactly, TV movie at best for Widow. What next? A movie for Agent Maria Hill?

Black Widow movie will deal how she gains back her fertility and gives birth to Captain Universe. You heard it here first true believers!

Well, Feige confirmed today they're gonna start working on a film for her, so...We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Ike isn't in control anymore, so now they can actually have female heroes lead films, which is great.

I like how he started off as a villain in the comics.

Wasn't talking about that but his personality overall. He's a lot more jokey and snarky in the comics. Whedon tried to throw a little of that in Age of Ultron but he missed the mark. Or opportunity really.

Do you put Hill and Black Widow on roughly the same level?

I like Scar Jo and her Black Widow. Her inability to shine is something I attribute to the writing, in the same way that Hawkeye has kind of taken a back seat. Every role she's been given so far has been pretty good, all things considered.

After Infinity War, I'm hoping the MCU scales down in some ways. There's plenty of room for new and big characters like Captain Marvel, but "small" stories as well, like a Black Widow mission would be pretty cool.

I think Scar Jo has the chops to carry her own as well, Lucy and Her being two recent examples I'd use. With the fight choreography getting better and better, I definitely think there's some potential.

The Hill bit was more of a joke.

I'll be very disappointed if Vision doesn't seal the deal with Scarlet Witch in this.

I know there is an AOS thread, but since you posted this here, might as well. I won’t go back and forth in this thread, so you can take it to the AOS if you'd like.

Well for me, I hate forced stuff and everything about the Skye/Daisy character has been forced. Chloe has gotten better from the beginning of the show, but to me she still an ok at best TV actress. The character is aggravating. too. The show is supposed to be about Son of Coul and his team of agents, but it seems like every single thing that happens on the show leads back to Skye. Too much of the show revolves around her. Not only that, she's the typical needs to know everything, questions and challenges everything, doesn't do what I'm told, never get in trouble because we love you TV character.

The show this season seemed to back away from the Skye/Daisy hour, but like I said in the AOS thread,
[Show spoiler]when Bobbi/Hunter left
, it went right back to it.

But hey, it’s more than ok, if you like her. She just annoys me. I can look past her hotness as many on the internet love to mention about her.

Captain America: Civil War is without a doubt a major hit both critically and commercially, and thanks to the success of this film and The Winter Soldier, Marvel has taken a liking for Anthony and Joe Russo, for the studio has given the directing duo the keys to direct the epic Marvel universe team-up movie to end all team-up movies in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War (which may be retitled). Coming along for the ride are screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have the duty to compile all these larger-than-life characters into this two-part extravaganza.

It’s safe to assume that the current roster of Avengers that we know as of right now will be ready for battle against the villainous Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his infinity gauntlet. But let’s not forget about the new characters that debut in Phase 3 with Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel (whom the Russo brothers may have confirmed appears in Infinity War). But Markus may have let slip in an interview with The Verge that a fan favorite Guardian may make an appearance.

When asked about the process of writing these comic book characters for the screen, Markus replied:

Quote:
Also, whether they’re a 12-foot purple guy, or a raccoon, or an android, they’re all people, and we’re going to write them as people. You can’t write them any other way. So, ideally it will stay grounded because you’ll completely understand why the characters are doing what they’re doing, and you will in some way or another empathize.
Perhaps, we can take this as a possibility that Markus and McFeely have intentions of writing Rocket Raccoon into the Infinity War films. Rocket Raccoon was one of the breakout characters in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy and has instantly become a fan favorite among audiences. The thought of having the Bradley Cooper-voiced raccoon interact with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is unbelievably exciting. You can next see him in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017.
Ya think?

Agreed. It would seem a bit strange that there's a universe-ending threat and the Guardians are just like "eh, send Quill." Conversely though, wouldn't we then expect the full might of the Nova Corps and Asgard? But maybe GotG2 and Ragnarok will address that.
