And don't give me that crap that this is the film and not the comics. He's real but perceived as a 'myth' because his true identity is kept hidden in the shadows; while his presence is always known because it's the Mandarin/Ten Rings pulling the strings behind it all.

Or, let's say Marvel wasn't confident enough that audiences would anticipate such a mystical concept of the Mandarin. Now seeing the reaction to Doctor Strange, the Mandarin doesn't seem as far fetched and may be reconsidered if there's an Iron Man 4.

I kinda wish they addressed this in Iron Man 3, instead of some short. I probably would have been a bit more forgiving. But obviously it's damage control.

I’d consider him a grey area character, like Loki, personally. But grey in differing terms than Loki.

The posters for this movie have been top notch compared to most MCU films. There are so many excellent choices for steelbook art that it would be a shame to use the upcoming lame art style when this gets released.
