I seriously doubt that all the footage we have seen from the Thor/GotG meeting will be in the movie. I have already seen duplicate lines and alternate camera angles used in the advertising. And of course we have seen two versions of Peter's line about "made up names.

I think they are making good use of possibly deleted footage in trailers which seems to be common in trailers recently. And all the stuff with Thor and the GotG is so much fun that if any of it is not in the final cut it still serves the purpose of giving "new" footage while still not spoiling too much of the story.

Other than the first two, I've been avoiding all the later trailers and TV spots (look away!), but with a movie as big as this, I suspected they would be using alternate footage that probably wouldn't end up in the final film. It does seem to be a commonplace thing to do nowadays. I'm still a little disappointed that the "Hulk gives it away" line from the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer never made it into the movie.

Today, saw 4 different posters in a "Five Below" store that I never saw before for this film. Can't find their images online.

This was kind of one of them but with no giant words blocking everything. Had to buy it and frame it...

Got IMAX 3D tickets for the 28th at 8:00 am. Definitely early but it's all good. Only $12.95 for a ticket in the morning.

It seems there's a common misconception floating around. Just FYI: comic-book Mandarin is not a magic-based character. His rings are alien tech he found in a crashed spaceship. And he knows martial arts. That's all. He's a Fu Manchu-like warlord/Triad leader/businessman/martial artist who wears alien high-tech rings. There's no supernatural element involved in the character.

The Mandarin is still mystical and supernatural even without his ten rings. He can still go toe to toe with Iron Man even without them or some tech-based weapon and can go on for years without eating. The guy is superhuman without barley any explanation.

That's because he trained really, really hard to achieve something most other humans can't do (like Batman, Bullseye, ...). I wouldn't peg him as belonging to the likes of Dr Strange, Ghost Rider, Dr Doom, etc.

The things Mandarin does without his rings is still BS, though...

I was never that bad as my ex was pretty quiet anyway, bless him. But I was the GF laying down rules and dragging the BF to midnight showings (he hated midnight ones; could never understand why we couldnt go at 'a normal time').
Even MADE him have Chimichanga pre-Deadpool, opening night saying we had to do it right.

some of those rules were funny though - we cry together or you're walking home? lol

I was disappointed the didnt stick with the 'there's my boys' line from Iron Man 3 when he summons the Legion.
The one in the trailers sounded much better than the forgettable one we got in the movies(seriously, I cant recall the one use in the final cut)

with semi-unknown origin

cant reall the run, but he kept bigging himself up with his birth right BS only to find out later that he was the unwanted son of a brothel worker.
I like that Nolan/Joker-esqueside to the character. Narcassist who is clearly unhinged

Technically the 25th, but midnight screenings are on the night of the 24th/25th in a lot of European/Asian countries.

I need to survive until next May to see the final Avengers. Anything that happens after that is of no concern lol.
