It’s a one off, the midnight. Hence, short amswer being, a massive impatient
Huh. So you guy's don't have advanced showings the day before it's release?

Considering worldwide release is 27th, yes, but they start at 0005 on the day before, running right through (so really UK release is 26th....it’s weird here, I’ve seen promo’s with both dates. Even some cinema chains state ‘out 27th’ but take back bookings for all day 26th showings

But getting peak, evening time showings, the day before release, nah not really. If we get things a day before it’s midnight or late-AM showings, not evening only like you get.

I'm getting a serious "Sixth Sense" vibe from this movie reading and watching all the interviews. Meaning that there is some serious spoilery stuff that happens. I'm seeing this with a large group on opening Sunday so I'm going in to media lock out mode on Wednesday. I have a feeling come Saturday all hell is going to break loose across the Internet. People unintentionally and very much intentionally ruining the film.

the UK doesn't no. First shows always either midnight or in the morning release day. Didn't the US only adopt the practice after the awful shooting during the TDKR midnight show?

Also, you say three days, which would mean Tuesday the 24th, but you're seeing it midnight the 26th. Don't you mean five days

Contrary to popular belief, you would think that. I remember going to see Transformers: Dark of the Moon at 7pm and went to the Saw 3D(VII) Thursday night premier at 7pm as well. Both of which were released before The Dark Knight Rises.

Fierce depth. For sure needs to be seen in imax 3D

I watched the 3D trailer before RPO in Laser IMAX 3D and it looked stunning. Like yeslek mentions, tons of depth. That shot of Spider-Man going through the debri looked amazing, it almost made you feel like you were going through it as well. It will definitely help with immersion. Definitely try to watch it in IMAX 3D if you can. The expanded aspect ratio should make it even more immersive.

At what point after are we able to discuss the movie in this thread? After seeing it Thursday night does discussion move to the spoiler thread or what? Don't wanna get home and ruin anything for anyone here.

that scene looks breathtakingly good!

only gripe is the smoke trails seem to dissipate way too quickly. Especially the one closest to Spidey as he swings through.

It's going to turn into The Last Jedi. Where I'll catch myself having different discussion in two threads and can't keep up with either of them

Depending on the theater, some did earlier showings. After the shooting it became almost universal. I don't mind the earlier showings I just don't like that it was due to political pressure by ideology.

Over the years I've stopped seeing big films until the early middle of the week. Too many people.

Am expecting come Friday all the spoiling will begin - Friday eve being first peak time showings.

As for Sixth Sense...you mean with the twist that once known, ruins the movie?

nah, impatient me counts the days between now and the day the booking is listed/i start movie-binging = 25th. 3 days between today, Sat, and Wed(though technically the movie doesnt start until 26th, the listing, preview etc and booking are all 25th....cineworld logic. LOL)

sounds better to my excited ears

I've always openly discussed the movie once seeing it, but with heavy use of spoiler tags (so those who have seen can click and those who haven't, can just keep scrolling).
I've yet to be told off for this so shall continue here unless consensus is to move open talk to the spoiler thread.

Oh. Okay. There's three days between today (Saturday by the way) and Wednesday (the day you movie binge).

Why so you can complain about spoilers in that thread too.

Let's all treat Avengers: Infinity War like Fight Club. The first you is to not talk about it after having seen the movie

They usually start with 7pm then open more showings every half hour at 11, 12am, and sometimes 2am like what was done with The Force Awakens and Infinity War.

Yeslek’s user page says he lives in the UK, where midnight showings might still be standard.
