There's just too much of it. A victim of its own success, there are just too many appealing characters here to stuff into one story.

A movie whose whole mission is to bring together their entire pantheon of MCU heroes has too many characters?

Yeah, the Godfather was ok -- but why so many gangsters?

If the biggest complaints are too much action and too many characters than I am not really worried. We have another one next year considering this is basically part one of two. Just seems like a lot of the normal stupid BS from reviewers.

There's nothing wrong with the action or the amount of characters. It's surprisingly well balanced in terms of multiple characters on screen, unlike Spider-Man 3 which crash and burned trying to handle so many characters.

Too many characters and some folks are "Where is Fury/Ant-Man/Hawkeye?"

I don't think fans are worried about too many -- maybe too few.

Yup...like I said last night, this wasn't made for the critics. The movie was bound to get some negativity from the viewers who don't mainly care about seeing all of these characters come together. Thankfully Thanos is getting some great feedback or else you'd never hear the end of it.

Yeah. As a Marvel fan I am beyond excited to see it this weekend. I don't think Marvel has made a bad movie. Some are definitely better than others but they are all at least watchable and a good time. People need to realize how great of an achievement this is and the impossible task the Russo brothers were given. So far it looks like they have pulled this off. Just this movie existing is amazing to me.

The universe is at stake and Thanos is Gamora's father so it makes sense for the Guardians to be in it. Dr. Strange as an infinity Stone as does Wakanda, so pretty much every character seems to have a purpose. Don't understand this criticism.

I think it is a major tribute to the MCU that they can get consistent 80+ RT scores on comic movies when a lot of critics are not even CBM fans.

Their movies are so well made that most critics have no choice but to acknowledge that they are high quality and entertaining -- even if they aren't into these kind of movies. I say good for most of them for their honesty.
