Hand held camera fight scenes are the worst thing to happen to cinema since the matrix slow motion effects. It ruined Harry Potter 3 for me

Don't want spoilers so I didn't post It in there, but how many Post-Credit scenes are there?

There's a nifty mid-post-credits teaser and then there's an awesome scene after all of the credits end.

And I can’t even watch Winter Soldier. Everyone raves about how it is far and away the best MCU movie, but it gives me a migraine the size of a helicarrier.

As far as fads go, shaky cam is so played out it has found its way into diaper commercials, and yet it still lingers in billion dollar blockbusters. Why? Does anyone still think it’s edgy, or somehow makes their films stand out?

Maybe because it saves time and money on VFX. It’s easy to hide the corners you cut when the picture is shaking all the time.

Thank you

Hmm, we only got one right at the end. What was the mid-credits one?

Thanos...my "God" what a character. Finally, the MCU has an epic villain. This really is HIS movie. We see all his motivations behind what he is trying to achieve. And he is POWERFUL. Damn. The guy has a presence..that's for sure. Well done Brolin.

Character standouts for me are Tony Stark, Peter Parker, and Peter Quill. And Drax is actually funny, which is a nice change after Guardians 2 (I hated the guy).

BUT...the real standout for me is THOR. The son of Odin has come a LONG way people, since what is arguably the worst/most blah movie on the character. He kicks so much ass...and you really feel for the guy.

With so many characters, some are going to suffer. Steve Rogers almost shines, but is really left in the shadows of bigger and better things. The same goes for almost every other character.

And there is a scene which is kind of...well, you'll see the inevitability a mile away, so the scene is pointless but does fit in the grand scheme of what Thanos is trying to achieve. You'll know once you see it.

But damn if Infinity War isn't the BEST of the MCU. I didn't want the thing to end. It just kept giving. The action scenes were epic on a grand scale. So much to like people. This is how you round out a 10 year run!

4.5/5

My friend saw this last night. He called me soon after it was over.

His voice was shaking, told me it left him "stunned and speechless." And that there were moments he teared up.

Then he said "you're not prepared for what's to come."

I'm scurred

If much prefer a fight scene like in Troy with Hector vs. Achilles... where they allow the actors to show the conflict properly.

Looks like the Blu-ray release is 8/14 for anyone that hasn't seen the steel thread yet.

How does the Steel look? There’s certainly a lot of cool possibilities, like that cool promo art with all the heroes they can do, wrap the back and front y’know?

No. And I’m not faithful to any of the films in this genre anymore.

Eurgh so true.
Frustrates the life out of me.

I remember me and my mum going out to the Cinema years ago to watch that "Battle L.A" alien movie.

Sweet baby invasion that gave me some suuurious Eye strain. Was actually stupidly hard to watch.
We chose Imax screens as well I think from memory which would have made it even worse.

I like it because I love Thanos and the infinity gauntlet, but it will be a hit or miss for most.

There was no mid-credits scene for my showing. Just the one at the very end.
