I will say only this much - I have been on this rock for a long time, but I missed one thing I always wished I could have experienced: that feeling of dread and anticipation at the end of Empire Strikes Back, not knowing what is coming or if there is even hope for our heroes.

Tonight, I finally know. And I finally have.

I will add only this more - I’ve seen questions like “What do I need to watch to enjoy this Marvel?” The honest answer? All of them. I’m dead serious, having been on this journey for ten years, now 20 movies, they all count. They all make this mean more. Yes, you can still get something out of it by being selective, but the cocktail is sweeter... or perhaps bitter... for having tasted them all.

I cannot wait to see how Ant-Man and the Wasp fits into the puzzle. And suddenly, next February is very important.

And for now, silence.
I honestly think you can get away with seeing none, but would have to pay heavy attention and quickly absorb all that is said. It’s all in the movie dialogue.

BUT I don’t think the beats would land thesame way and would be more beneficial to know all history

Also the bit where Thanos

. The character looked sketchy as hell compared to Thanos. (Can see where the,CGI dollar went)

Second one didn’t.
Little to no explanation to stuff, and the batte was tone down too much vs the book.

I remember taking mom and despite me having read the book, we both walked out confused.
Part one was miles better

So true. Iron Man 3 is really a pivotal film in understanding much of the MCU following it. I argue that Tony's PTSD (shown brilliantly in IM3) plays a MAJOR role in IW as well.

Yeah, a lot of people go on and on about POTA's motion capture(deservedly so), but Thanos is on a whole nother level.

The rest of the Black Order too for that matter.

I get a tenner off IMAX, 4DX and Dbox seat (so pay £4-6 toward the £16 standard ticket cost)
Basically, I could stay in one screen, watching all that days showings of say IMAX IW if I wanted. The only limit is that movie times can’t overlap more th 30mins,n I need to show my photo ID member card to prove its mine.
It works at any of the chains locations too(i’ve 5 near me, 3 with IMAX screens )
So as long as I go the cinema twice a month, it saves money omnibus tickets.

Oh I get 10-25% discounts at restaurants near the cinemas, and of popcorn/drinks in the cinema.

Been on this unlimited scheme sine before Dark World (that Thor. Triple was the first booking: £5.14 for Thor, Avengers and Thor 2 IMAX movies!)
You live in the UK, I'm in the US and this is actually pretty nice for us across the pond.

We have a large selection of multiple theaters supporting MoviePass. 2D screenings here are between $6 to $20 US or £4.36 to £14.51 UK a ticket. Since new suscribers get four tickets a month, that's at least $24 in tickets for $10 a month. But that's assuming you are seeing it in the matinee and at a low cost chain. I am under the old MoviePass plan so I actually have a movie a day, one screening per movie plan. So I could see around 10 to 20 movies a month which is fantastic.

People who live in areas where theaters are on the high side of pricing benefit the most from the new limited plan. It also makes it easier to check out different films even with just four movies. You can pay out of pocket for the ones you really want to see then use MoviePass for movies you are on the fence about.

As for Infinity War, Yoplait US has a deal where you buy their yogurt and get $12 to see the movie. I have a "bargain" Regal near me that sells RPX 3D tickets for $14. So I'd pay $2 out of pocket for this experience. I've read reviews of the 3D being good so would it be worth it? I already saw it in 2D...

4/5

I liked it a lot, but didn’t love it like I wanted to. Having said that, this is my sixth favorite MCU movie and it’s epic. I can’t believe I finally saw an IMAX movie that filled the screen the whole time! Finally!!

The Planet of the Apes movies did have some great CG.

There may have been some bad CG spots in Infinity War, but for the most part, for all it gave us, it did pretty damn good, especially with Thanos and the Black Order. At least the weak CG parts didn't take me out of the movie like Guardians V2 and Black Panther did. I'd say Infinity War was closer to what we got with Thor: Ragnarok, which was pretty solid.

Infinity War Current Domestic Gross - 144.9 Million

Quote:
FRIDAY AM UPDATE: Disney and Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War delivered a massive $39 million from Thursday evening previews last night. The performance is the fourth largest Thursday night preview ever and the largest for any film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ahead of Captain America: Civil War ($25M), Black Panther ($25.2M) and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($27.6M).

With an estimated $105.9 million on Friday, Disney and Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War is currently looking at an opening weekend that could top $240 million, which would make it the second largest domestic debut all-time behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($247.9m). The film's Friday performance already ranks as the second largest opening day and single day of all-time, behind Force Awakens, and by end of day today it will hold the largest April opening ever before even counting Sunday's grosses. Infinity War scored an "A" CinemaScore from opening day audiences.
