Like I've been saying for months now, Phase Three is the weakest out of all the phases in terms of visual effects.

Well I'd rather have half baked VFX than a poor storyline because Phase Three has had the strongest plots for their movies compared to the other Phase's.

Civil War, Doctor Strange, Homecoming, Ragnarok and Infinity War.

The only questionable visual effects was the final fight in Black Panther.

As long as the CGI isn't utter eyesore à la Justice League and movie is enjoyable, it's fine.

The digital backgrounds in the airport scene in Civil War as well as the cg shots of Black Panther in the same movie were really bad.

I barely noticed. The airport scene is probably the best team on team battle we've seen in the genre. Albeit it's a very low bar.

If you can count 2 on 2 as being minimum and don't include Avengers vs. Chitauri/Ultron robots or Future X-Men vs. Sentinels, Iron Man & War Machine vs. Drones, type battles, it's a very short list.

X-Men vs. Brotherhood in X-Men
X-Men vs. Brotherhood in X3
X-Men vs. Brotherhood in First Class
Spider-Man & Goblin vs. Venom & Spider-Man
Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Wong & Spider-Man vs. Maw and Obsidian

The Last Stand finale was a very good team battle but it was more one on one vs team vs team the way CW.

See, that's the problem. If we keep on giving Marvel Studios an easy pass every time, then they'll just continue their sub-par effects. We got to let them know they need to do better, or they won't bother to improve.

I will admit Civil War has an unfair advantage as it's 12 characters you are for the most part invested in whereas most of the X-Men and Brotherhood characters were very underdeveloped and dismissive.
