that would be sweet, kinda like the thing they did for Halo where all of the old military guys talk about the big battle fought by the Master Chief have Agent Coulson as an old man, at the Avengers/Heros/Infinity War Museum talking about the displays. Perhaps one or more Hero's and a couple of civilians who survived it too!

$220 million more than Ultron? -- no way. That is a mistake/boast by the co-owner of the new Atlanta studio Marvel is using to film the movies.

That would blow their profit margin to bits. That's an 80% larger budget.
Ultron made 1.4 billion worldwide. IW would have to make 2.5 billion worldwide to match the profit.

They'd be morons to count on 2.5 billion in box office.

It will be $350 million max -- which would still make it/them the top 2 or 3 most expensive movie ever made.

Didn't Chris Evans himself even say the budget for both films would be a combined billion dollars?

That $500 Mil only covers RDJ's salary though, they still have to finance actually making the movie and paying the other actors....

Looks like this is being filmed in Edinburgh for a few weeks, starting next week. If anyone's in the area, might be worth checking it out.

Lighting being set up for Avengers filming in Cockburn Street.

Filming will take place on Cockburn Street on Monday and Tuesday (20th & 21st) from 6pm and on the Royal Mile for a week from March 30th (subject to change).

That budget is the total for both Avengers 3 & 4 since they're filming both at once.

I think it's safe to say Avengers: Infinity War will break a billion. Right there that covers the budget. Avengers 4 might also hit a billion. That will cover marketing and anything else would be profit. I think they'll be fine. Even if they don't make much of a profit, this is Disney we're talking about. They have money coming out every orifice.

I think these movies will be bigger than The Avengers/AOU, bumping the budget isn't a huge deal if they can match or exceed those markers. You are bringing in a lot of the side characters (GOTG, for example) and it's the next big "event" picture of the MCU. If the movies have the re-watchability The Avengers had this should be a for sure thing. The issue with AOU was that it was another bridge film to the next phase, this is ending the story and should bring people out more than once.

Avengers made a little over 1.5 billion, AOU made a little over 1.4 billion. Even if Infinity War slips to 1.3 and the next part does the same, it'll still make a huge sum of money + all the product endorsements, toys and god knows what else.

He's been "moving on" for years. His contract is fulfilled, so is the rest of the main original cast (or almost all) so...the article is repeating stuff that's been said for a long time.

If he doesn't die in Infinity War, we'll just wait and see. Could very well be a bargaining technique for more money. Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that he wants to direct. But renegotiating a contract for more money would give him more money to pursue his passion projects. If he is done at the end of Infinity War, he's earned it and he's been a hell of a Steve Rogers, and we as an audience will certainly miss him in that role.

These actors get paid too much anyway, let them go, recast, move on. Downey definitely needs the boot first though.
