So...
[Show spoiler]According to IMDB, Zoe Saldana gave an interview this weekend and let slip that she didn't know when the Guardians would be filming their scenes for "the Gauntlet", apparently spoiling the title/plot of Avengers 4 as the "Infinity Gauntlet" storyline.

Then, I was reading a story over at Dark Horizons where they asked Kevin Feige about the more cosmic look we've been getting with Guardians and the new Thor trailer. His response: "Why even attempt to make a movie out of the Infinity Gauntlet if you can't really do a lot of the crazy things that happen in that Jim Starlin imagination".

Once, could have been a mistake. A second time, from the head of the studio? Think Avengers 4 might just be called "Infinity Gauntlet". And since it can be used to rewrite/reboot history...

So revealing the title "Infinity Gauntlet" for The Avengers 4 is a "spoiler", but confirming that it's the second part of the "Infinity War" storyline and that it's being shot back to back is perfectly okay? Yeah, that makes perfect sense. >_>

Chris Pratt:
Quote:
Well, so far, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is the biggest spectacle movie of all time — that is all time up until now. Avengers [Infinity War] is going to be a pretty big spectacle. I think you’re talking 40 heroes — that is a huge spectacle. I was using James [Gunn’s] vernacular by calling Vol. 2 the biggest spectacle of all time. I heard him say that and I thought, ‘That sounds right.’ But I have to amend that. I think this sequel transcends the genre in a way. It’s a deep motion picture and something different than just a big spectacle film. There’s a difference between dime-store novels and literature and this is like literature. It’s going to stand the test of time. It’s maybe this decade’s movie, if not a longer period of time.
Hyperbole, perhaps, but the MCU has dominated the industry for the last decade, so maybe his hyperbole is justified.

Then again, I remember all the Buzz we had before the first Avengers movie, hype that was abscent, to the same degree at least, with Ultron

so maybe we'll have another amazing Avengers movie with Infinity...am sure we'll all agree that Ultron was merely ok by comparison to the first...right?

A huge letdown for me. I adored the first. It wasn't anything innovative, but it was like a classic comicbook come to life. Magical. AoU seemed like I'd missed a bunch of vital exposition necessary to enjoy the film. It assumed too much, even for someone such as myself who watches each Marvel film at least once so that I'm not out of the loop when it comes to the dynamics of the intermittent team based films.

I just hate what they did to Ultron. Ultron in the comics is much more dangerous and menacing. But was so watered down in the MCU. Ultron in the MCU should have been like this...

They sure did nerf Ultron. Maybe to not scare the kids? I don't know.

To me, I felt that AoU needed another hour because the middle of the film is where it loses its bearings. Although, I did enjoy the third act.

The thing about Ultron in the MCU I didn't like the most was not sounding robotic. It was just a regular voice.

Then I guess that means Thanos will be watered down in the MCU as well, considering he killed almost everyone in the comics. But in all seriousness, I do find it kinda strange that Marvel is going full out with Thanos, but watering down all of their other villains. It's as if Marvel doesn't want their other villains to overshadow Thanos, because he is suppose to be the "final" boss of this saga.

When the first Ultron trailer dropped the reaction was fairly intense.

Then the Infinity War teaser leaked something like a week later...

Sounds like this will be the first superhero film to take the top spot in AFI 100.
