Actually occurred in 2014. Around the same time as events of The Winter Soldier.

Dude, he wasnt depowered in the context of a one film off.

Thor and Tony Stark didnt create The Vision.
Wanda is a mutant not a gem enhanced mutate.
Ultron is what he is for this universe....a one off threat.
If i recall he was beating Thor and Vision one on one in the film.
Thor had to get help from Vision....so easily was not the case.

Go read the comics and ignore the films if u EXPECT a carbon copy of the source material.

I had paragraphs written as responses to the last 2 pages, but that last sentence basically sums everything up. This cinematic universe is a whole new universe from the comics. The writers can make anything up and as a comic book fan, you have to realize this and enjoy the films as is. When watching the new Guardians movie, I was shocked to hear what Starlord's dad was and it made me a little upset but I shrugged that feeling off and enjoyed the ride. This has happened to every single MCU film and I'm surprised some of the viewers haven't realized it.

@CyberpunkCentral Just think of these films as another verse in the marvel multiverse. Hell if I remember correctly, most of the MCU films are based on the Ultimate universe versions of the characters. Comic books are cooler anyways. You'd never see God Doom rip out Thanos' spine on the big screen.

No no no no no no no. Nobody give me that crap that, oh, this is the film not comics. I hate when people do that. The issue isn't that Ultron wasn't like the comics. The issue is that Ultron wasn't a menacing enough villain. Sentinels wasn't anything like the comics either. But guess what? They were threatening enough. So drop it with the whole comics thing.

But Ultron wasn't strong enough to go for to toe with Thor or the Hulk until years after his first appearance.

It took 6 iterations before he even had an Adamantium like body.

True. But the same can be said about Thanos as well. Yet, Marvel is going all out with Thanos.

I don't know, I haven't seen Avengers Infinity War yet...

But Thanos was always dangerous. On of his first actions was to wipe out his home planet. It's not like he's just appeared, as Ultron did in AoA, as it seems he's been around the MCU for some time.

Then the movie could be major letdown!! and yes Ultron should have be a lot more dangerous.....so dont make that mistake twice!! Marvel is starting to bother me a bit! started with The Avengers when they excluded Ant-Man and The Wasp who were the original Avengers (even Wasp come up wit the name) having Scott Lang as Ant-Man and not Hank Pym, Ultron and leaving out the Netflix Marvel

Yeah, but it's not like Thanos is unbeatable. He was defeated before he got his hands on the infinity gauntlet in the comics.

It'd be great to finally get a villian that's a real threat.
Exactly!! you dont built Thanos like they did and end up like Ultron! btw I've read the Infinity comic!!

I don't see it following Infinity Gauntlet very closely. Sure it might have some scenes, but I expect about as loose an adaptation as Age of Ultron was. I mean, the comic was told from Thanos' point of view and heavily involved his obsession with Death.
We already know they wont since Adam Warlock wont be in it

I'm sure marvel will dumb IW down and upset comic fans. They've shown that they barely follow their own mythology. I still think IW will be decent though. I'm only worried that they are breaking it up so two films will complete it.

But whether its Infinity War or a later entry, I really want the Agents of SHIELD to appear in at least one film. They need to finally reveal Coulson's survival to the Avengers; its way past time on that point.
I dont have really interest on seeing the Agent of Shields (but i think they should at some point) I think it would be more interesting and better chance on seeing The Defenders (c;mon who doesnt want to see Jessica Jones and Tony Stark together) along with The Punisher

I believe Thanos won't wipe out half of the life in the universe, because it would effect the Marvel TV shows. So yeah, Thanos might get watered down in the film.

Nah. Maybe Daredevil. Also, I too think they need to close the Coulsen is alive thing.

I believe Thanos kills Daredevil very early on in the Infinity Gauntlet comic. But hey, this isn't the comic, so it doesn't matter.

Thanos CAN kill everyone and if they follow the source material he gets tricked into resurrecting everyone.

DIdnt they already forecast this with the Wanda fear spell on Tony Stark?

Thanos is a mutant, correct? I remember someone in IMDb told me that he wasn't, so that confused me for awhile.

Would be cool if Disney, Marvel & Netflix could work out some kind of Infinity War tie-in, like a Defenders/Shield crossover. Two or three hour event, premiering simultaneously on ABC & Netflix. That would be so cool...
