Sorry way late to this , What's the best least expensive way to collect the original movies in 4K on disc ? I read a little and there issues with some of them , Anything that would distract from the enjoyment ? Next how were part 4 and 5 , Worth getting ?

4th was awesome, 5th was meh. I would wait a little longer and see if this new set ever happens.

I'm hoping for a new box set in 4K like the best buy but not steelbooks something in slim packaging would be fine . Fixes to what ever some of the issues were that people were talking about and DV would be ok even if I do not use it yet . I know many have there sets calibrated for DV and like that feature .

It turns out that Rambo V's plot actually WAS the original premise for Rambo IV.

You are correct. Overall it left me rather hollow compared to the others.

The international extended cut adds some important scenes back in, like a new opening where Rambo attempts to save some people during a flood.

Yes, and Sly was wise to jettison it and start over. Then he was not so wise to dust it off later. Rambo deserved better than a DTV-level send off

I think he said he wanted at least one more story that would end with him back home at his ranch, instead of it starting with him already back.

It all just felt very slapped together, even if he had been thinking about it for a long time. You change the character’s name and drop someone like Jason Statham in that same part and it makes no difference whatsoever.

I don't know about that. Sylvester Stallone isn't a martial artist like Jason Statham is.

Then I pretend there are no more Rambo movies and watch Missing in Action 1, 2 & 3 instead.
