Any word on how they are handling the transfer for Rambo 4? Im worried they will use the same crappy film out given what they just did with Kickass.

I think we may be stuck with the scan from the filmout there. I'd be very surprised if they tried to go back to the negative on Rambo, and undertook the massive headache of trying to rebuild it from scratch, with all the vfx. I asked the same question a year or more ago, and I think the general sense was that there were no such plans in the cards. We may be stuck with what we have. I was pissed when Rambo 4k came out and it showed no real gains in detail or clarity over the blu ray. I wasn't even a fan of the altered color palette. Rambo 4k and Daybreakers 4k were both tough pills to swallow at the time. Fortunately, at least Rambo 4k's audio is hella bombastic and does the format proud. I suspect the compression, color correction and remastered audio for First Blood, First Blood 2 and First Blood 3 will be the primary driver for this upgraded set.

Not blaming Cliff or anything, but damn, Lionsgate. For every day that goes by, another old-school Rambo fan gets another day closer to the end. Pretty soon there won't be many collectors left to sell it to.

This new Rambo set is going to be spectacular...I just know it. Can't wait. Please don't make it come in "stupid" packaging.
