Ok since all this back and forth about the release date for LOTR is getting a bit ridiculous, I e-mailed Warner Bros. specifically asking if it was coming 11/3/09 or in 2010. Below is my e-mail and the response I got.

I'd say that's a pretty solid confirmation of the original November release date

Well, that's just confusing. Every other site has cancelled pre-orders and news site have all reported that this release has been delayed. Did Warner not get their own memo? What's going on here?

I will wait a few days afther the 3rd to see if it is shipping this is getting ridiculous why can't WB just say the delay is a lie.

Was the delay actually a statement from Warner or was it leaked by "inside sources" and printed elsewhere? I was under the impression it's the latter

Chrystle is probably just going by what the website says. The release was never officially confirmed or delayed, so who knows? (It says 'industry sources')

well considering she has to take responsibility for her words, we can call it a official confirmation that the nov release date is legit.

That's what I thought about the news of a "delay". Basically everything official (like, oh, the WB's website and staff) points to November.

And what proof is there that they will come with DTS MA 7.1? Other than what the Blu-ray.com specs say - there has been no official announcement.
