When Spinal Tap was delayed, there was an official announcement. But didn't the original Army of Darkness street date come and go with no announcement of a delay? Don't recall. But releases are delayed all the time and there isn't always official word of a delay, because, frankly, it's not a big deal. They come out when they come out.

i cant remember what movie i bought that had this but there was an advertisement for LOTR on an insert inside the case. release date was november listed on it

Right, and...? That insert has been in WB blu's for most of the year. Heck, blus I bought 2 years ago has advertisements for Lawrence of Arabia and Bad Boys 2, and neither of them have come out, let alone been announced.

the right way to address this problem would be :

did your inserts announce a release date for lawrence of arabia ?

lawrence remaster on dvd was announced with passage to india bluray...but keep in mind that was a year ago & it was DVD.

I'm just trying to help you understand that you have zero reliable sources to confirm the release date is still valid, while there is a very reliable source stating it is going to be delayed........

But, believe what you want...... I don't really care when it comes out because I don't plan on buying it

It wasn't on the inserts, it was on TRAILERS. And you're wrong, it wasn't announcing a DVD release, because the Lawrence remaster has been out on DVD for several years. It was a trailer for upcoming BLU releases (and logically so, since it was included ON a blu ray disc).

It's not a problem that needs to be addressed. It's not even a problem. Because when Nov. 3 comes and goes, and whether or not they come out, you'll live either way.

I'd hardly call that major advertising. Listed among 15 other titles on a half page insert. Plus, it only listed Fellowship, not the whole trilogy, so if the insert doesn't even get the info right, then how do you expect to trust it?

i have seen the trailer you are talking about....its the david lean collection.


its on passage to india bluray...and it did announce lawrence re-release....on DVD.

and only passage to india in that trailer was announced on bluray.

toss the disc back in & check it for yourself.

It's on a bunch of early Sony releases. I haven't even watched my Passage To India, but other people on this forum have also discussed the trailer.

i remmember very clearly...what the trailer said. and i was dissapointed the lawrence re relase wasnt on bluray.

so until either of us produces evidence...there is no point discussing about this.
