So surely that must mean the normal US version also has DTS-HD MA 6.1? I doubt to see how there could be two different encodes.

I hope this is correct and previously announced spec of TrueHD 5.1 is false. Besides, TrueHD 5.1 being Warner guarantees 16-bit, whereas a DTS-HD MA 6.1 track could likely be 24-bit

I just noticed that on BB website under the LOTR steelbook preorder they say the genre LOTR is classified as general comedies.

Man, I wish I could get a hold of these early. With the possibility of me losing my job now, I may not be able to pick them up when they are released. My whole department has to reapply for our jobs, so if I don't get rehired, I won't be buying any blu rays till I find work.

Maybe because of Gimli, or Merry and Pippin? Gollum?

So if I have a 7.1 setup thats gonna sound odd with audio only coming from the back left or back right speakers and not both...why not 7.1?

The amp will mix the 2 channels to make it one meaning the audio will come out of both the centre rear speakers. They did think about this when developing the standards

The same info will be sent to both rear channels, so all 7 will still be used....and it should still create a nice enveloping sound with the rest of your speakers.

New executive director in our department. He is rewriting our job descriptions, even though the job functions will still be the same, so because of that we have to reapply for our jobs.

Is there another interview? It may sound funny when he asks you why they should hire you and your salary expectations? LOL!!!!

That is funny. I'm sorry, but I have never heard of interviewing for a job you already have. If he asks "where do you expect to be with the company in 5 or 10 years"....tell him "your job."

We had a similar deal where I work - and I have a government job! It was part of one of those business fads that goes around, like TQL, TQM, renaming the organization, reorganizing the organization, re-reorganizing the organization, and the most recent passing fad, LEAN/Six Sigma.

Or he could say that in 5 years he expects to be interviewing for his current job again.
